Oopsies - great alternative to bread (and free!)

My friend found this recipe on her mission to doing slimming world as a coeliac and I have to say - they are delicious!

Ingredients (Makes around 12)
4 eggs
3/4 tub of quark
Pinch of salt

Method
1. Separate the eggs and whisk the whites until forming stiff peaks
2. In a separate bowl, mix the egg yolks, salt and quark together.
3. Fold the egg whites into the quark mixture.
4. I find that if you use a Yorkshire pudding tray, they work out best, so in each bit, spray some frylight and put a dollop of mixture in each section of the tray. Put in oven (on around gas mark 5) for 15-20 minutes.

They work great as using them as bread (I often put ham and tomatoes in between 2 oopsies to make a sandwich), or even to have with curry, or to mop up gravy on a nice Sunday dinner!

You can also put in sweetener instead of salt, for a sweet alternative and then put them with fruit and yoghurt

Enjoy! :)

also known as cloud bread lol. I keep meaning to try it but never get around to it as I've no patience for separating eggs and beating whites lol x

Kind of, it's a strange texture! I just use them as an alternative to bread so I can still have sandwiches and mopping up gravy etc .. definitely don't taste like bread! Lol.
There is and potato bread recipe I can put up which is lovely and works out as 20 syns a loaf but makes about 20 slices so only 1 syn a slice if you prefer the bread texture xx

Patchwork puss I didn't know that lol! Just got the recipe off my friend and she always calls them oopsies lol either way I love them! X

No problem! I'll have a look for it now and post it in here for u xx

I've added the screen shots for the recipe below ... I'm a little Confused because I'd work it out as more syns when I've looked but consultant and other group members swear by 20 syns.
Either way you choose what you syn It as Hun and it's still low per slice compared to bread xx
