Plumfoodie's diary and ramblings

How high are your cupboards? You're quite tall. I have a stepstool just for reaching those high shelves.

This week's weekly weigh-in, I am +0.8 lb heavier than on my last official weigh-in before my holiday. However, I am not bothered, because I am still losing water weight from the flight. Every morning since returning I have been about 1lb lighter than the previous day and this morning was the same, plus my water % is still a bit high as measured by my scales. So I'm sort of ignoring this week and will see how things look next week. :D

More annoying is that because of MFP rounding, my MFP ticker and Minimins profiles don't match anymore, ha! But hopefully that won't last long.

I think your weighin this time is really good for being on holiday for a week, and the flight water weight. I didn't go on holiday or the plane and I still had a +.08 lbs :(

I'm sure next week you'll have a minus on your scale :)

All my useful goal setting has sort of fallen by the wayside lately; I think I was finding it stressful not to always reach them. So I've decided to have a new way of looking at it. I'm going to log my next mini weight goal in my signature, and when I log my food daily I'm going to note what I felt went positively that day. I'll try this for a week and see how it goes!

I was about to post in my section about your new signature. But I figured it'd be better to post about it in your section:) And behold you wrote about it:)

I really like your new signature and mini goals btw. I think it looks great and very creative. I think I need to steal the Xmas one, if that's ok, for the Cranberry xmas challenge.

Of course I don't mind, I love Christmas so the more festive cheer the better. :D

Thank you for the nice comment. :) I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I'm a little worried how I would react to not meeting my published goals but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it!

I am a little worried that I might not meet my goal too. I really want to reach the goal, but if I miss it by a pound or two I won't be too upset. Though I really really really want to reach the goal.

Because my husband is away on business I am eating more prepared foods for a couple of days. Marks and Spencer do a range that are supposed to be lower GI and higher in protein so I've got those in.

Positives for today:

1. I did a short period on my airwalker.
2. I'm eating ready meals but I chose healthier ones.
3. I considered diving into the chocolate tin but resisted.

Breakfast: slept really late today, no breakfast

Morning snack: grain-based coffee substitute, natural sweetener and milk

Lunch: side salad and Thai red curry

Afternoon snack: (huge!) antipasti meats, light Swiss cheese, olives and a few pecans

Dinner: Beef ragu with rigatoni

Evening snack: milk

I like your positives for the day:) It's always nice to look at and acknowledge the good things we're doing in the day, hooray:thankyouthankyou:!

Your food looks yummy too:) I want M&S too!

Ohh naughty me. The husband is in London on his way home and I have tasked him with bringing me one Krispy Kreme doughnut. I'm telling myself this is better than a box, ha.

No worries Plum, it falls into the 80/20 rule :) Also I think the Krispy Kreme is way better than how my day was >_<

Yesterday's update:

Positives:

1. I ate breakfast at breakfast-time, which is sometimes hard for me when home alone.

2. I didn't spend the evening pigging out on rubbish (see above about being home alone).

3. When I knew a Krispy Kreme was incoming, I chose a flavour that I wanted that was a bit lower in calories, and fitted it into my calorie allowance for the day.

Food:

Breakfast: AllBran w/blueberries, mixed seeds and milk

Lunch: M&S chilli and rice

Snack: antipasti meats

Dinner: M&S chicken and mushroom tagliatelle

Snack: Krispy Kreme!

Your food sounds really good yesterday :) Mmmm Krispy Kreme!
