Poppyinpink's Food Diary

So today is my third day of Slimming world after several years of WW which I spent yo-yoing within the same zone bracket. It wasn't that WW didn't work, just that I didn't try hard enough! It's 3 and a half months until my wedding, and this is my last shot at losing the extra curves! I can't believe what I've been allowed to eat today, so I'm going to try to keep writing it all down for posterity's sake, and hopefully you guys can tell me if you think I'm heading in the right direction!

On Monday I weighed in at 11st 9lbs. By 20th July I'd really like to be 9st 13lbs. Let's see....

Monday: (I only decided I was going to start SW after breakfast and went out without my books, so I know my HEXs aren't right)

Breakfast - Banana
Lunch - Goat's Cheese Salad from the M&S Kitchen - 2 HEXB of cheese
Dinner - Pasta with mushrooms and garlicky quark sauce
Extras - Cider - 18 syns worth (oops - teach me to estimate!)


Tuesday:

Breakfast - Banana
Lunch - Aubergine Bhaji with rice - HEXB oil
Dinner - Quorn, feta, leek and mushroom bake with roasted new potatoes and onions - HEXA feta,
Extras - Large glass red wine - 8 syns, and a snack of leftover brie I found in the fridge (yum!) HEXB


Wednesday:

Breakfast - Apple and Banana
Lunch - Aubergine Bhaji with quorn mince added - 1 HEXB oil
Dinner - Mushroom and goat's cheese burger, potato rosti, philedelphia creamy leeks - HEXB cheese, HEXA philly
Extras - Gu chocolate pudding - 15 syns (in the oven at the moment - I hope it's worth it, bought it before I started SW!)


There you go! Hope everyone else is enjoying SW as much as me right now :)
 
Evening! Today has been amazing, my OH and I went for our pre-wedding photoshoot on our favourite beach, it was so much fun! I wore a dress that I couldn't get into when I bought it 2 years ago, so that felt pretty good - can't wait to get the photos back. We went to one of our favourite pubs and I even resisted the lush food menu, so here we are...

Breakfast - Pineapple and strawberries
Lunch - Pasta with mushrooms, quorn and philadelphia - HEXA philly
Dinner - Roasted potatoes, mushrooms, onions and quorn with blue cheese sauce - HEXB Stilton HEXB oil

Extra - Wine 8 syns.
i'd really like another glass of wine, but I've just realised that I'm eating out once a day for the next 3 days and spending Saturday night at my parents which always involves a lot of alcohol, so should probably save my syns! So I've got 7 from Tuesday, minus 3 from Monday makes 4, plus 7 from today makes 11. Plus 45 from the next 3 days equals 56 syns altogether.
We're going out for a pub meal tomorrow lunchtime, I'll probably have a risotto or pasta dish (I'm veggie so that handily cuts down my choices), how many syns would you ususally count for cooking fat etc when you have no idea how something has been cooked?
