Hello ladies,
I've just posted in the due dates thread, but wanted to say hi here too. I have been trying to catch up on this thread over the past few days as I'm sure many of my questions will already have been answered, but there's so much in here (which is fab, but I can be a little impatient lol).
It looks like many of you have now had your babies - congratulations! There are so many cuties
I can't wait to meet my little person, but it'll be a while yet. Am currently 13+3 and EDD is 04/06/14.
Anyway, my first questions are about weight gain and bumps. I hope you don't mind me asking, but to those who have had their babies, how much weight did you gain during the pregnancy? I am a bit worried as I was previously very overweight (18st +) and lost lots which was great - I was 11st 4 when I got married in the spring. Unfortunately, due to a 3 week honeymoon and no restraint afterwards I regained two stone and a bit before finding out I was pregnant. Absolutely delighted to be having a baby, but the weight gain is in the back of my mind. It doesn't help that I've been constantly hungry, and feel nauseous unless I eat regularly, so that has equalled about 10 weeks of no holds barred eating. I'm currently about 7lbs up since my BFP - is this normal? I guess I'm just feeling worried as things have felt a bit out of control, and I'm terrified of regaining all the weight back. I was so unhappy before...
My second question is about bumps. Not really showing yet which isn't a surprise given that this is my first. However, I'm wondering if I'll ever look like I have a bump rather than just looking heavy... I always have a "top" belly even when I'm slimmer - like a roll of fat or a wee shelf you can see even if I'm standing up. I don't just have one big jelly belly - I have two parts if that makes sense? So, I wondered if anyone knew whether all of this will pop out over time into a proper bump? Clothes just now are doing my head in as my waist is defo thicker, and I'm mega bloated. Oh, so if anyone has maternity dressing tips I'd love to hear them.
Anyway, ramble over for now. Looking forward to getting to know everyone over the coming months
