I used to get quite a bit of slimey dc, I wouldn't worry too much. I take it you've got no tummy pains/backache and baby moving ok??
You might find you have a good bit of this between now and when baby appears-I had to wear panty liners! Xx

Right, tmi time (just for a change!!).

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and for the past 3-4 days all of a sudden I've had the urge to go to the loo for a number two and have had to go straight away. Usually I can go 2-3 days without needing to go but it's 3 times a day now. It's not the runs and I've not changed anything in my diet. Anyone else had/having this? Sorry for tmi but it's really not like me!!

I was exactly the same!! ;-) I always got excited cos they say yr body 'empties' itself before labour. However when I wa induced I went 3 times in less than an hour, apart from feeling v empty by the end of that it def got looser each time in the induction suite! Lol xx

God I'm dreading that although at least you were empty by the end ;-) A friend of mine said the midwife said loads of women poo when pushing but they (the midwives) just clean it up and don't tell them. But I always think.....what about wiping?!?!?!? Eurgh. Xx

Yes I've heard that too. I assume they wipe and clean you too... I blinking well hope so. My concern is that I'm hoping for a water birth so what happens if I poo in there. Apparently some mw use a fishing net type contraction to fish it out but seriously how embarrassing would that be. X

Haha, I'll just whip my fishing net out while you carry on pushing, don't worry about the floating poo ;-) it's so dignified!! X

Exactly. Poor Paul won't know what's hit him seeing that. He says not to worry at all, but seriously I don't want to be sitting in pooey water, never mind anyone else have to watch and then fish it out!!

I still pooed myself... 3 times I think lol and that's I can recall seeing! Ha ha xx

Didn't susie say only a while back (think it was susie) anyone that says they didn't poo in there is lying????

I've been getting that sarah too the last few day... As in.. I can wait til i get to the bathroom..But no delaying..
Although for you being so close.. It could well be your body preparing itself for an "emptying" :D

Haha yes it was me and it's true! Unless you are completely 'empty' which let's face it is highly unlikely, you will produce poo. It's nature. You have no control over it so you don't technically poo yourself! It's a good sign tho, tho a bit of a manky one for you, but it means baby's head is coming down and pushing the poo out. You don't tend to produce that much tho, it's just a little bit.
If you're in the pool we fish it out with a sieve.
To be honest you won't care at that point. And we don't tell you. Unless you ask. We are excellent at getting rid discreetly!
Anyone know how missy is getting on? Don't have access to her diary xxx
