Hi all!
Jayde and Sweetpink - we all understand the desire to get weight off quickly - but it doesn't happen like that for all of us!
You have both had really good losses to date, espcially you sweetpink - you started nearly two months after me and you've already lost more than I have! So, I think you should both celebrate your successes so far :happy096: and not get too disheartened when the losses start to slow down - which they do for everyone!
I look at it this way - I am the tortoise and not the hare - but then, which one won the race?

I think with SW you have the best of all worlds - I can eat pretty much what I like and still lose an average of 1lb per week. I don't feel like I'm on a diet all the time, I cook more, I eat healthier food that tastes good - and SW fits with my social life (which a VLCD definitely would not!)
We all spent months, if not years, getting bigger and bigger - we have to accept therefore that it's going to take months, if not years, to get slimmer and slimmer.
It's hard - we all get disheartened - but the thing to do is to plod on and trust in the plan.
I lost 3 stone on SW about 7 years ago and I gave up when the losses slowed. If I look back at my WI book from group, I spent 6 months losing consistently and then another 6 losing, gaining, losing. This time I'm determined to stick with it and I hope you do too!
Sweet, you've not been well all week, so that's probably mucked your system up. I never lose weight when I'm ill, even if I haven't eaten much, or if I've been vomiting. So no, lozenges won't have accounted for the gain, but the way your body has had to work to fight your illness may well have done. Stick with it and hopefully you'll have a good loss next week!
I hope this hasn't sounded too much like a lecture - but we've come too far to give up, or lose heart now!
