QUEEN SIZE TO PRINCESS

WELL DONE Surreygal. That is absolutely AMAZING. I am just soooooo impressed. I know how hard you must have worked for that (as 'easy' as SW can be at times, it isn't always like that !). You must feel totally ecstatic and like a different person. What a fantastic inspiration :)

(and thanks to Spanx for alerting me !)

Well I had a great day yesterday & think that alone is making me feel a bit better. A trip to tescos & lots of sw friendly food & treats was just what the dr ordered. I bought the birds eye simply salmon with the lemon & butter sauce & oh my goodness I cannot believe that is free!!!! It was absolutely delicious!!! I had it with soy sauce rice & it was scrumptious!!! Actually would love the same again tonight :D
I think losing those few gained pounds (& hopefully some more) will help me regain my mojo. Thankfully I havent strayed far from plan but I hadnt been synning lemsips & throat lozenges as I felt miserable enough without losing my little treats too. Then as I didnt feel much like cooking I was stuck in a bit of a food rut too but now the fridge is full of nice healthy food so no more excuses:D

4lb off this week, i got slimmer of the week, slimmer of the month and greatest loser 2011

Wow well done you are doing amazing!!!!

Well went to WI and had a gain which was well deserved but feel much more motivated and gonna go for it. I have decided to try Exante to shift some weight quickly but will keep up with you guys and I will be going to my sw class for motivation as I love going and I'm on a cd. You guys are all real inspiration and doing so well I wish I had a kittle bit more of your mindsets!!!! Xxx

Well done Cara! :happy096:

Sweetpink, the simply salmon sounds lovely - might have to get some!

Jayde - are you sure about exante - espcecially if you're on a countdown? You will probably have a good week this week if you can stick to SW all week - your gain might have shaken your system up a bit! Why not wait and see how that goes first and switch to exante afterwards if you still want to?

Debz - well done for being so brave! Hope you are in less pain today. Nothing wrong with hot water and lemon at any time of the day - think the citric acid flushes your system out! I drink a lot of green tea with lemon, which does something similar!

Capricorn - well done on the speedy walking - I'm sure you will be well-up for your trek when it comes around!

I had some friends round for dinner last night and they all commented how much slimmer I looked - they only saw me 2 weeks ago, so let's hope the scales are going to be kinder to me this week!

Hi Spanx

Well I ordered my Exante no yesterday then last night I read some research on VLCD which has worried me so no I'm not sure!!! I'm just feeling likening will never get there and like I don't know what to do!! I love sw too! Maybe I will give it one more week! Xx

Congratulations Cara, thats a fantastic achievement!!!! :D

Spanx, you have got to try it. If you like salmon you'll love it...soooo lemony :D

Well I had another good day yesterday so hopefully thats me back on track. I'm not expecting miracles on the scales though as I had been sucking throat lozenges continually right up to tuesday :( I kind of feel like I have got nowhere since Christmas after doing so well right up to it despite sticking to the plan. The one thing I wasnt doing was having my full HeA everyday, well most days really, though I do take mullerlights to up my calcium intake so last night I made an options hot choc with the remainder of my milk allowance & it was delish so I think I'll make a point of doing that from now on to see if it helps. I just hope the scales start being nice to me again soon

Permission to go AWOL tommorow and back to it on Saturday. Annual celebrations tommorow. Out to a posh place with hubby and kids for afternoon tea and then a pancake party in the eve for family and friends ( I've lost count of how many i've invited bout 40 I think) Not as posh as last yr when I celebrated my 4oth at the ritz!

Go AWOL Lucia & enjoy every second of it :D

Well I am reporting a 1lb gain & needless to say I am gutted. I know right up to tuesday I wasnt synning throat lozenges but would that really give me a 1lb gain???? I feel like I have been losing & gaining the same few lbs since Christmas despite being on plan 99% of the time. For those of you that have been at this point how have you managed to stay motivated & get your weightloss moving again?? I am trying to look at the bigger picture & how far I have come so far but I really want to get those lbs shifting again too

Hi all!

Jayde and Sweetpink - we all understand the desire to get weight off quickly - but it doesn't happen like that for all of us!

You have both had really good losses to date, espcially you sweetpink - you started nearly two months after me and you've already lost more than I have! So, I think you should both celebrate your successes so far :happy096: and not get too disheartened when the losses start to slow down - which they do for everyone!

I look at it this way - I am the tortoise and not the hare - but then, which one won the race? ;) I think with SW you have the best of all worlds - I can eat pretty much what I like and still lose an average of 1lb per week. I don't feel like I'm on a diet all the time, I cook more, I eat healthier food that tastes good - and SW fits with my social life (which a VLCD definitely would not!)

We all spent months, if not years, getting bigger and bigger - we have to accept therefore that it's going to take months, if not years, to get slimmer and slimmer.

It's hard - we all get disheartened - but the thing to do is to plod on and trust in the plan.

I lost 3 stone on SW about 7 years ago and I gave up when the losses slowed. If I look back at my WI book from group, I spent 6 months losing consistently and then another 6 losing, gaining, losing. This time I'm determined to stick with it and I hope you do too!

Sweet, you've not been well all week, so that's probably mucked your system up. I never lose weight when I'm ill, even if I haven't eaten much, or if I've been vomiting. So no, lozenges won't have accounted for the gain, but the way your body has had to work to fight your illness may well have done. Stick with it and hopefully you'll have a good loss next week!

I hope this hasn't sounded too much like a lecture - but we've come too far to give up, or lose heart now!

xxxx

Thank you Spanx. That definately doesnt sound like a lecture & even if it did its just what I needed . I have no intention of giving up & I agree that faster isnt always better. I dont like the idea of a food replacement diet either as slimming world suits me so I'm happy for it to take that wee bit longer doing things the way I am & hopefully things will get moving in the right direction for me again soon. I adjusted my mini goals to something a bit more realistic (well hopefully :sigh:)

I don't know what I would do without the support of all of you to keep me on track especially at the minute so thank you:)

Hi everyone

Hope you are all well today. Back at work :-( Gutted. This is me on til next Sunday !!!! Och well, needs must lol
Was at docs today for a check up on my diabetes, doc took blood and is going to let me know on Monday how it is looking. I am hoping that loosing the weight and the medication has helped and then i will no longer need to take my tablets!!! Everyone keep everything crossed for me :)

Sweet: dont get disheartened huni, it was a bad time for you being ill. It will hopefully show for you next week! Keep your chin up babe x

Thanks Spanx! All true I have to say! I think the problem I have is I still don't feel like I'm really gonna get all the way but need to just focus on the little steps I guess.

I guy was really rude in town today about my weight and I felt like crap but I'm trying to make it spur me on! Can't believe some people!! He was not exactly an oil painting but one day I will not have to get the grief and I cannot wait!! X

Hey peeps!!!
Got my aunts 40th birthday party tomorrow night so went shopping to get a new top to wear!
I tried on a few and have ended up getting a gorg red one! ITS IN A SMALLER SIZE !!!!! Wooohoooo :D:D:D:D
I am normally a size 26-28 and now i am a 22-24!!! Slimming world is def helping me aswell as my get-fab-abs. Doing this every day for 10mins!!! Love it :happy096:

Well done debz!!!! Great NSV!!! Xx

Woohoo - well done Debz! Sometimes I think dropping a clothes size is more satisfying than seeing the scales drop!

Jayde, I too worry that I'll never get there. I've been guilty in the past of always thinking I was going to be overweight and last time I lost 3stone and got down to about 12st 3, I thought that was it. I think that made me lose heart and before I knew it 12st 3 became 13st 4 and I gave up on SW. Seven years later and the scales hit 16st 13lbs and I'd finally had enough. This time I am trying to focus on each half a stone at a time - I've calculated when I think I might reach my final target, but I don't focus on that - just on the next half a stone. I'm hoping that will make it easier.

I've also got over the view that I'll never be slim. Seeing so many inspirational stories and photos on this site makes it seem so achievable. For me, it's far more inspiring than the SW mag - as I feel like I 'know' these people, even if it is just in the virtual world!

Look at this thread - Capricorn, Surreygal, Corsacar, LovelyLaura - all losing lots and looking fantastic - what more inspiration do you need?!

WI for me in the morning and I'm hoping for a good week after a STS last week... wish me luck!

Have a great weekend everyone x

Well done Debz, losing dress sizes feels just great ! I'm so pleased for you. The goal of coming off meds is a real motivator too - I have seen at least one person here come off meds during his weight loss. He's gone away at the moment but his name is Maximus if you want to find him.

Spanx, now you are the one in my head !! Before this site I was like you. I never even aimed for slim, just to be less overweight, shop in normal shops etc. Now I don't know. I may still be happy to be a bit overweight but I may go 'all the way'. Whichever way, it's opened up my options which is a great thing. I also only ever aim for my next 0.5 stone which has really helped. At the beginning, my journey was a very daunting one but now maybe it isn't :).
