QUEEN SIZE TO PRINCESS

Thank you muchly. I will definitely give it a go because that base sounds quite normal and pretty much within syns. You clever thing.:D I'll go shopping tomorrow and have it for tea. Means tonight I'll be good and have something free followed by a fresh chocolate eclair which is apparently only 11syns, I'm hoping it's well worth all the syns. It's been a long time since I've had one. I might lick all the chocolate off the top and nibble it slowly to extend the pleasure. God, I sound crazy today.

Morning all! Hope all is well in Princess-land!

That pizza recipe looks lush Capricorn - might have to save that for a weekend treat for my son and I - he moans all the time that we don't ever have pizza anymore!

Laura - fancy trying to slip it in unnoticed that you've reached your 8 stone first target! FANDABIDOZY!!! :happy096::clap::happy096::clap::wow::wow: :winner::thankyouthankyou: Ah, that's better, it feels more properly celebrated now!! That is absolutely remarkable Laura, to have lost that much in so short a time - you must feel able to conquer the world!

Patsy - hope your OH is enjoying his 'jobs':D

Hello to everyone else - good to see you losc, haven't spotted you around for a while! Surreygal, well done on beating the munchies and sweetpink - Alpen lights are a godsend!

Well done on the 8 stone loss Laura, that is just fantastic :D I dont like pizza but weirdly fancy it now too. I looked up the weight watcher ones... probably not as nice as capricorns fresh ones but if you are ever in a rush...

:grouphugg:Morning girlies

Just a quick pop in before i go to work! :angel09:

:553:Wow, laura, 8st is amazing, :girlpower:well done you hun, such a fantastic achievement. How long has that taken you? go girl:party0019: Keep up the good work, your a real inspiration.

Mmm all this talk of pizza has me fancying one! do i go for capricorns home made jobby or the WW one. Has anyone tried the weight watchers one? the low syns do tempt me but homemade is soooo much nicer! think that will be my treat tomorrow...now just need to decide which one!

Ha ha surreygal, have been sneaking on now and again but been really hectic with work, but getting back to normal now! wooo! how are you hun? hope your diddling along ok!

How you getting on with hubby being away capricorn? i find i count down the days when my hubbs is away! i can never sleep properly unless im exhausted if he isnt in the bed with me!

Just something i was thinking about, how much does everyone spend on their weekly shops? mine is coming in at about £50 a week for two of us, and i am thinking about trying to chop it down, i really dont think i need to spend that much, or is that about right?

have a great day girlies, post back later xx

Ooops me again, also meant to ask, i really love pesto, and have realised that one of my fave recipes, aubergine, bacon, mushroom, onion, pasta, all chucked together would be free apart from the pesto? any ideas which one is the lowest, looking at syns in olive oil, it would be quite high syns if home made! thanks girls, sorry for all the questions today! xx

Well I lost 2lbs this week. I am quite pleased with that considering the wine I consumed on Saturday night.

I am looking for 4 next week to take me under the 19's for the first time in ages

Have a good day everyone

I would like to know this as well. I love simple pasta tossed in pesto with grilled chicken breast. One of my favourite comfort foods

Losc -this is the lowest one I can see, if you let me know where you shop I will pull you up the alternatives ;)
Sainsbury's Be Good to Yourself, Green Pesto Sauce, jar , 1 level tbsp 1½

Goooood afternoon all :D

Well done on the losses ladies:woohoo:

Well, I have just had a mushroom, onion n cheese omelette with baked beans for lunch -twas yummy.... and for dinner Im making home made wedges with mushypeas nomnomnom -I just Lurrrrve mushy peas -they have been soaking all night ...oooohhh Im easily pleased :p

re: the pizza - the "normal" sized one I made for me (before I gave bread up) weighed 375g-so when you think of it in those terms I reckon its a "bargain" ... to be honest if you are after a full on pizza experience I would use tomato puree on the base and then if you are doing green days you could even go to town and use 2A+1 or 2 Bs for some serious cheesyness . I would never buy pizza after making my own -and the dough (which is baguette dough) is much better than basic bread dough ;) -obviously the above is just my opinion -so I hope everyone else likes it :cross:

Losc-Im ok with hubby being away -we are used to it.. Im like you though, I don't go to bed until Im dead on my feet when he isn't here -last night I was cleaning our bedroom and my wardrobe until 12:45  -that way I drop off really quickly.. -he is home tomorrow evening :0chacha:
Our shopping varies -but its the volume of fruit that I eat that adds up  -although now the summer is passing and the soft fruits are going out of season the cost will drop, I will be having to eat more apples and pears -oooohhh until satsumas/clementines come out :bliss:I think now autumn/winter kicks in the shopping bills should drop.... Im looking forwar to corned beef hash n dumplings, bake potatoes n onions etc mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
We will have to swap nice cost effective recipes on here,,,,

right -that is far too much waffle -I will get off and get something done... have a great day everyone...

Congratulations Laura thats fantastic!!!!! Youre a massive inspiration to all of us..well done!! Enjoy your pizza coz you definately deserve a wee treat!!!

Capricorn did you notice a difference to your weight loss after giving up bread? I've stopped taking bread more because I would rather have my 2 alpen lights for a chocolate fix than a slice of bread for my Heb but I always thought bread bloated me before so hopefully its helping :)

Losc, I'm a complete pestoholic, so I have tried most of them! I don't like the sainsbury's BGTY one that is the lowest-synned, it's a bit dry! I love green pesto, but have swapped to red now as it's lower in syns - 4 syns per tbsp for green and 2.5 for red. I reckon 1 tbsp is enough for one person, so if you're adding lots of veg (which I do) and your parmesan/grated cheese is a HEA, it's a good low-syn meal!

Sacla are doing a new red 'chilli pesto' - it's really nice and quite spicy. Otherwise, Jamie Oliver's red pesto is also yummy!

ooh well done kookie, thats a great loss!

Coooor capricorn, great minds think alike! i have been soaking my mushies for tonight too! i loooove them, and can you believe there a speed food! having a chicken roast with em tonight! i have to make that pizza now, i think its a bit of a bargain for the syns myself! and it will feel like proper pizza!!! thanks for the tip with the pesto, will have to try sainsburys version.
I am the same if my hubbs is away, find myslef mopping floors at 2am to knacker myself! i seem to hear every single noise when im on my own, but am out like a light when he is here!

Oooh spanx, this sounds like such a dumb question...but what is red pesto made of? is it peppers? if so, i think i may like that! i love sacla green pesto, im a bit addicted but have steered clear of it as i thought it was very bad! but actually, your right, you only need a small amount per person so doesnt work out naughty at all! xx

Hi all!

Booked today off for a treat which is awesome as work is very stressful at the moment - people are fearing redundancy! Oh well there was an NSV in amongst the madnbess yesterday at work in that a colleague had brought in the most amazing home made cakes and i decided to leave them and had some fruit instead!! A real victory! I though to myself do I want to be thin or eat cake and chose the skinny me! I will have cake sometime though!!!!!

Had a SW cooked breakfast for a change which was great too!!

Laura you really are an inspiration with your losses, you must feel amazing already!!

And all thispesto talk, think I may have to have that for dinner tonight.

Heres to the start of a SW friendly weekend!! Hope you are all doing well xx:)

Goooooood afternoon you lovely lot...

Its a :D day today as my lovely husdybundle will be home some time this evening :0chacha:....

Sweet pink - I haven't had any bread since I started SW (oohh apart from 1 small slice of home made pizza-that gave me a headache).... and for a confirmed bready lover thats something :p.. I found out that I have issues with yeast (gives me a blinding headache and makes me bloat-oohh and made me fall asleep :rotflmao:) - I have found that since I gave it up it really doesn't bother me *so far* ....
I have found my weight loss better this time around, but I think its because when I did eat bread I couldn't leave it alone.... Im sorry -but I make seriously wicked bread -especially baguettes  -so that with organic butter slapped on was always gonna head straight for my thighs :giggle:
Losc-did you enjoy your peas? mine were scrummy -I actually finished them off cold for my supper :D
Jayde -well done on resisting the cakies.... I don't like shop cake but can do serious damage to a good home made one *another reason, along with the bread, why I got this big* -I [STRIKE]make[/STRIKE] made courgette teabread -was like carrot/passion cake mmm...
Hope you are having a good day off ...

well ladies I have just made a batch of the 12 speed soup -with a few tweaks.... it is really really yummy -good job too as heck its one big pan full I have got to get through. It will definitely be made again - I will get hubby to try it and if he likes it I can give it him in a flask in winter too ;)
for dindinds tonight Im having a "sort of" ploggymans -only with seedy ryvitas instead of a baguette :p -Im really looking forward to it :D

righty ho -I will get off for now..... hope everyone is well ...keep at it ladies, we are getting there :p

:wave_cry:Ok I know I shouldnt have but I stepped on the scales this morning & it showed a 1lb gain

I'm gutted because I've been eating lots of speed & superspeed foods & stuck within my syn limits everyday. I weighed myself at the sametime of the day that I usually weigh in too...gutted to say the least

ohhhh No no no no no Sweet pink.... step away from the scales honey ...

Now Im a serial scale hopper -BUT -its pure habbit, and it makes no difference to me what they say as I know that everyones weight goes up n down all day every day :p... if its going to upset you then do your best to keep off them (easier said than done I know)
when is your official weigh day?

Sweet pink, don't listen to them! For the last month or so my weight goes up all week and then suddenly drops on a Tuesday in time for weighing officially, I've no idea why but it always happens! If you're going to weigh then do but don't let it upset you.:)

Thanks girls.. I knew when I was doing it I shouldn't. I will steer well clear in the future & just stick to weighing in on a tuesday morning...naughty scales!! I dont feel as bad now coz I went shopping this afternoon & bought new jeans in a smaller size so at least I'm heading in the right direction :)
