How did Matty cope with you giving blood

and Matty was unaware of the blood giving and was at work when i went hes safe!

Ohh haven't given blood for ages ... they used to come to my work, but you had to book an appointment as they were so busy ... and then you could never get an appointment - I figured they obviously didn't want my blood that much lol

LOL,my mate was gonna drag me too,but she's found out she's anaemic and cant give again for a while-so she's taking advantage and getting some new tattoos done !!
I have this vision of you on one arm and her on the other !!

and your friend wont be able to donate for aaaaaages with loads of tattoos! itll just have to be me Jane x

Ah - i got a tattoo last year too ... so that's me out - will have to think of another way to lose that pound ... extracurricular exercise sounds good

I have no idea what blood group I am - I'm going to ask next time I'm at the doctors.

I can't give blood apparently because I had blood poisoning ten years ago. They told me this ten years ago. I should really look into whether I can or can't now, but I am such a sissy with needles - plus it always takes the nurse about 40 mins to get blood out of my stupid veins.

I'm O neg. Anyone can have my blood but I can only have O neg back... A doctor once told me that in some countries they would kill me on a road side for my organs - Needless to say, I don't go abroad too much.

The National Blood Transfusion Service used to give awards, don't know if they still do?
Every time you gave a pint you got a little certificate. Once you had collected a certain number of certificates you then got a badge; Bronze, Silver or Gold. Once you had a Gold award I think they then went on to limited edition plates Very few people got the plates (as you can imagine)

Yes Helen, my father in law gives blood regularly and got some sort of major award from them a couple of years back,in recognition of how much he has given over the years.
Being such a loyal and brilliant daughter in law i cant remember any more details than that it happened !!!

That is because my son is a wuss

I'm an A negative also one of the rarer types had to have some sort of injection after Adam was born because he was postive and his blood was poisoning mine or some such marlarky

this is the most exciting thing i've woken up to for ages LOL i've just been passing all these anecdotes of info onto Matty who is claiming he knew them all already

off to get my hair done today, then FINALLY going to see How to Train Your Dragon which we didnt get to see on Monday
