- just been to the care home to see my gran and they have them all sat in the chairs facing the tv and it's not even on! They are just sitting there staring at it! -

Why?

That sounds absolutely awful, training staff, and dehumanising people come to mind

:ignore: I try not to say anything as it's a job I could not do. The residents scare me.
