Hi all i came off s&s after 12weeks as i was really craving food and could feel a binge coming on so ive been trying the weight watchers plan. I didnt refeed i went straight to it which i dont think was the best idea.

My first weigh in is tomorrow but i weighed today and i stayed the same which has put me a bit down.

Im going to give ww a few more weeks but if i dont lose i will be back to s&s as have about a month worth of packs left x

Heya,

I have no idea what effect going onto another diet plan like WW has on the body so soon after S&S with it being a VLCD. I do wonder whether it would take time for the body to adjust before it starts losing again. But WW will work at some point if you stick to your PP allowance. Just like with this diet, if you stay the same you need to muscle on and wait till the next weigh in ect as the weight will have to come off at some point if your following it properly.

I was on WW last year and as you know your supposed to lose 2Ib on average a week but I never lost 2Ib every time it always fluctuated, so if your okay with losing the weight more slowly then WW will eventually work. Of course it would have been better if you had followed a re- feeding plan like you said, but since you didn't its best not to worry as its in the past and all you can do is to look forward, and the only thing to think about is what you're doing now :)

You did great on S&S and I hope WW works for you :)

Thanks im going to give ww a few more weeks but will definately return to s&s.

I think i really needed this break with food after being 100% for so long but i havnt been on a binge or wanting chocolate etc whic is great as thought i would of wanted alot of junk x

Its awesome that you haven't been binging or anything, and that your still being good :) I admire anyone who has managed to stay on S&S or a diet like it for 12 weeks or more, as im only on day 6 and cant imagine what it must be like to go without all my fav foods for nigh on a month!

cross fingers for your weigh in tmz :)

Believe me Pen, you get used to it, and when you see the fast results it's what motivates everyone to stay on track. If I had been on SW or WW I probably would still be back where I started. I think that I may be able to use that sort of plan to maintain but not to lose weight, and definitely not to shift the sort of amount that I needed to initially.

Thanks pen and as bordersgirl said once you see the numbers dropping and all the compliments etc it really does keep you going.

I still have around 2 stone to lose to be at goal so thinking of maybe taking this as a break and getting back on s&s, im pleased i havnt gained but worried that if i started slipping before i know it il be back up where i started x

Actually I think you've done pretty well if you have STS after starting WW without refeeding. It'll probably take your body some time to adjust so don't expect to lose too much initially but you should start to lose in a couple of weeks or so I think.

Best of luck on WW and if you do decide to come back to S&S we'll all still be here for you xx

Thank you, today was my official weigh in day and I've lost 1.5lbs which I'm actually really pleased and will teach me not to weigh in early again, really going to give it a go now, I'm meeting with a personal trainer today and plan to do zumba a couple times a week with step aerobics and the start the 'couch to 5k' programme for the treadmill.

I will be happy with a 1lb a week loss with the foods I'm able to eat so hopefully next week follows suit :)
