where are you, chickies? Hope you are all coping or hibernating under a blanky and hating the world cos your starving?! Youa re NOT starving, you are just missing out on food that HATES you. Food that clings to your thighs and makes you feel sluggish and slobby.
As we take our medication to make us feel better (our delicious and nutritious shakes) - it proves to us that we are identifying our "illnesses" and we want to make ourselves "better" - right?
Ok, I have a small meal on a night time but its hardly the size of the usual tucker I used to give myself. And really, we were not satisfying a hunger, we were satisfying a greed for taste. I mean, you can fill up on lettuce leaves and satisfy a hunger. But filling our plates with crap that was enjoyed for 5-8 minutes - was it really worth it? NO!
My tip is to enjoy your shake over a 15 minute period. The frothier and bubblier, the better. If you have vanilla or choc shakes, add coffee to make a latter or mocha (hot or cold). Then when thats done, glug 500mls of water to top you up and make yourself feel full. Did you know that ice cold water burns calories way more than room temp water? When you feel hungry again, go and brush your teeth or put your coat on and go for a walk. Or have a nap.
