I bought some Uncle Bens Wholegrain Express rice today and I planned to have it for my lunch tomorrow. However, I've just seen that it's not green on my tracker! :( what was the the microwave rice you used? Urgh! Im annoyed I bloody bought it now as my fella won't eat it. The ingredients say wholegrain rice, some sunflower oil and natural flavoring and a touch of salt. I can't see it being a problem being SF.... Thoughts?

Dammit!

Dammit!

Mine is the boil in the bag! I would think if u haven't used ur 2tsp of oil today u should b able to count it as sf, it can't have much more than 2tsp of oil?!

How far away is the shop u brought it? If ur not happy using it as sf can u take it back and get the other stuff, save it going to waste? Mine is uncle bens boil in the bag wholegrain rice 4x bags in a pack for roughly £3, u boil in a pan of water for 10 mins, u don't have to measure water just make sure it covers the rice!

I could go back and exchange it.... but I am pretty lazy!

It's got on the pack "100% Natural Ingredients". It says that there is 98% wholgrain rice and then a touch of salt 0.12%. I would think the remaining percentage would be sunflower oil, which will no way be more than the oil allowance (which BTW, I've never consumed anyway!) Do you reckon I could have it as SF?

P.S - I'm going to try and cook the brown rice I have at home again tonight.

I would think it would b alright, ur not gonna b eating it every day this wk so I would think it would matter!

Some of the other microwave brown rices are free though cant remember which ones so I don't think it would be a big problem I personally would just count it as free and the oil can be from your allowance :)

Thanks girls. I've made my lunch using it :)

It will b fine, enjoy!

Consulting The Book says that Asda Brown Long Grain Micro Rice and Tilda Steamed Brown Basmatic Micro Rice is free on SF.

I would use what you have already bought as count it as free personally and just try and buy the right one next time.

I got to get that sf book!

Its not actually the SF book I have got, just the "Shop" book from the starter pack. Everything that is free on SF is highlighed in green. Very useful :)

Oh rite, all I got is the purple one u get free with meetings and info on here, ppl keep saying new stuff that is free on sf, so I think I'm gonna have to invest in a couple new books! Do u use the shop book much?

That and the eating out book are the only ones I have as I didn't go to group or anything to start, just bought the "deluxe starter pack". The shop book is pretty good, its split into sections like "tinned", "frozen" etc and has all the main supermarkets range as well as the main brands so its good for planning meals or planning shopping. The calculator does for anything that isn't listed.

If got that supermarket book - I didn't think to check it! Thanks hun :) will defo get the right one next time xxx
