Shakes with ice

Morning all

I am glad to report my blender is amazing

I tested it out on a banana shake this morning with 6 ice cubes blended into it......oh my god, it was absolutely gorgeous. I will definitely be having more made in this way
I would highly recommend trying it, if you haven't already!

My sister was on SF last year, she swore by the smoothies as the shakes made her feel a bit sick, but made like this they are less sickly, so I will be telling her about this method

i give the blened shakes a big thumbs up too. :cry: my blender is broken though so i just have to shake n shake mine but its not the same :cry:

I've still got to try it with the cubes - I just stick my milkshake in a bottle and shake it!!

I tried the peach (I think) smoothie and it was waaaaay to sweet for me (the sugar content is way high) - had another couple in the fridge and DH took one work yesterday - he cycled to work (took 75mins) and he had it when he got in and he said it definately gave him an energy boost!

He had the other one when he came home as well! Said they were a better boost than Lucozade!!

Just in case anyone is interested, the Kenwood smoothie2go is only £17.99 in Robert Dyas at the moment, its so easy to use and clean and the best bit - it comes with 2 travel mugs, so you can make your slim fast up and bung it in the fridge at work, if you have one!

Will find a link if anyone is interested? I bought one at the weekend and its way better than my old jug blender.

Yep, always always have mine blended with ice, can't stand them without!

Mel, I've been puting off setting up my mums blender to do it because of the time it would take and the clean up.. but I think I'll def try it now!!

Been using a jug and whisk for the last 3 weeks and I'm def going off the banana shake so maybe the ice would 'shake it up' for me, so to speak!!

Get a hand blender, they are the easiest to use and clean. They even do a tesco value one for under £5!! I had a bruan one before, that was about £30 and came with lits of attachments etc, it was great but broke after about 5 years lol! So just bought the tesco value one, and it's fine!

I have been making my breakfast shakes in the blender with ice cubes and I agree they are really quite tasty! I only really like the chocolate flavour ones though.

All I can say is MMMMMMMMMMM!

Had my first shake with ice today and I'm never going back to the simple old jug and whisk way. Absolutely delicious, and made me feel like I was getting more than I was
