Oh please let me know what you think, I absolutely loved it, I am a marmite lover and this ticks a lot of boxes for me...when I did it for buffet night I had a few of the girls tell me they loved it even though they don't particularly like Marmite, but as I told them you could do it with Bovril or even Chicken Bovril xxxxx

Yuuummmmm! Great buffet. Might have to borrow some of those ideas (it's my daughter's birthday on Sunday)

here you go lily,

12oz/340g el minced beef
1 level tbsp tomato puree
salt
black pepper
pinch nutmeg
pinch thyme
1 large egg beaten
1 onion finely chopped
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
pinch of allspice
1 level tsp chopped parsley
2 hard boiled eggs

pre heat oven to gas 5/190 c
combine all ingredients, except the hard boiled eggs, in a bowl and mix well
shape the mixture into a flat rectangle and place the hard boiled eggs down the centre. roll the meat around the eggs.
place in a 1lb loaf tin, cover with foil and cook in the oven for 45-55 mins then uncover and cook for a futher 10 mins to brown the top.

serve hot or cold

you can play with the seasoning to suit your self and i have also made it by skinning syn free sausage and using the sausage meat. i changed the spices etc and used sage and paprika

yumyum took it to a buffet at work and it was gone in seconds

the best bit its syn free

That's the real answer to losing the weight and keeping it off I think, being totally honest cos you're only really kidding yourself at the end of the day.

well I got loads done tonight, decided to take a chance and make a few dishes ahead of sunday, I would think they'd be fine and to be honest thank god I did, cos I can barely put my foot to the ground, in a freak accident tonight, Kelsi caught my toe on my left foot and bent it right back...it has swollen to about 3 times it's normal size, but as she caught it she also caught my toenail and has all but pulled the whole thing off, it has bled for ages, but I am too much of a coward to pull it all the way off, it makes me want to throw up :yuk: and is extremely painful...just exactly what I needed this weekend of all weekends :argh: Still if I can hobble tomorrow I can still get the rest sorted and there are loads of helpers here and Kelly said she'd pop over and give us a hand....just hope I can sleep tonight as it's throbbing like mad...have put a small bandage over it to see what happens.
Going to try and get some zzzzz's so take care all...catch ya when i can xxx:hug99:xxx

OOHH Lily that does sound really painful. Hope you managed to get some sleep and that its a little bit better today.............can imagine its gonna take a while to heal. You will have to sit in a chair and direct proceedings from there and get everyone to lend a hand.
