well i've had a ***** day..been to doctors then to hospital to have lung x rays and blood tests to find out if an old lung disease has come back...absolutely worried sick:cry: so been lots of tears...just waiting to hear from my cdc about if i can continue the diet if on steroids, hope to as steroids make you pile on weight:mad:

Fingers crossed everything is ok hunni ((hugs)). Keep us posted xx

I had my first day at my new job today, went pretty well I think.

Ooohh glad it went well, where is it..? Remember you saying but can't remember where you said lol

I think one day I had 2 of them, the rest has been 1, and I think that yesterday I actually didn't have any! I'm not even sure why, it's been a very tired few days and I guess there's no hunger so don't feel a push to have them, if that makes sense. Need to really work on that though. And my getting 2 litres a day down me!

Be careful hun, there's a reason we are supposed to have 3 a day :) i'm sure you already know so not going to lecture...

Hope everyone is well today..!?

Hayley - did you weigh yourself this mornin?

Chloe - did you get home ok last night in the snow? haha xx

Oh hun, stick to it! Will def pay off xxx
Forget about scale - maybe you are losing inches for time being?!?!?!

Chloe - did you get home ok last night in the snow? haha xx

Haha! First day I take my slick-city bike to work and it's....snowing. Yep.
But, since excitement hasn't wore off (as yet) I was happy cycling back home (and no, it didn't snow for long).
Geared myself for any weather buying all-weather-ultra-lite gore-tex jacket in good old TkMaxx (probably 80% of the original value) and I am completely oblivious to the weather. Whatever the weather! Fixed very much needed mirror onto the bike and on ya bike!
LOL So second day cycling and loving every minute of it!

Having blast - diet wise - drinking so much water, coldness kicked in last couple of days but trying to have all my shakes hot and lots of tea +coffee.

Tomorrow WI - hopefuly scale will stay friendly...

Have a fabulous day girlies - catch up later xxx

Ive checked that too, no change in two weeks.
Seems pretty pointless to me at the moment. . . :(

Come on, we all know it works. As long as you stick to it 100% you'll see the results. Sometimes not as quick as we'd like to but still....

Maybe you should consider moving up the plan?

Sending you ((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))
my dear xxxx

Its costing me around £40 to stay on this diet and seeing no results when it comes to WI.
I'm drinking more than recommended, i'm having all my sachets, mousses, bars etc (except last night).

Its annoying that i see people that have binged and still lost when it comes to WI. I eat chicken with a bit of flavouring on it and i lose nothing.

Complete downer today! Being exhausted is not helping at all.

Will be back when im in a better mood. Sorry ladies . . . .

Really struggling to keep to the diet the past week, haven't had anything I'm not meant to, but I haven't been having my shakes either. I think one day I had 2 of them, the rest has been 1, and I think that yesterday I actually didn't have any! I'm not even sure why, it's been a very tired few days and I guess there's no hunger so don't feel a push to have them,

Gosh! Are you serious? Just one and no other food??

Okay, just in case you are serious, do you realise what this can do to you??

You don't have to be hungry to have them. Their your sole source of nutrition....think of them as medicine. Got to get them down. It's not something you have if you fancy it, or just peckish. You know ketosis blunts our natural signals to tell us what we need in the way of nutrition and I'm sure you're not crazy enough to just have one with no other food??

Please tell me I've read it wrong

Ooohh glad it went well, where is it..? Remember you saying but can't remember where you said lol

It's just doing some admin work for an estate agents. Isn't anything amazing, but I know how to do it and it pays better than the bowling alley job! Great thing is he's said that if I can prove I'm worth my weight in gold (tough job considering my current weight!!) then he has no problems with me going look, I want more money. Even said he doesn't care if he's paying me £20 an hour as long as I'm worth it. So I better get on with trying to prove that I am worth it!

Yeah its not good, 11st 13lbs!!!

Aww hun, don't get dismayed, we all have weeks like that sometimes. Maybe your body has just hit a bit of a plateau and needs a kick start again, what week are you on? Maybe it might be worth going up to 810 for a week to kick start your metabolism, and then try SS again. It's amazing what can happen over night though! Are your err toilet habits ok?

Chloe glad to hear that you're enjoying exercise so much! Not so glad to hear about your snow though, I hope it goes away!

Be careful hun, there's a reason we are supposed to have 3 a day :) i'm sure you already know so not going to lecture...

I know, I've not really done it through choice, it's like I've just forgotten. I think I've just been so tired the past week that my head is a bit all over the place. I've had my SS+ meal every day because I've had it out, at work, or in uni or at a friends or something. But without the hunger, and with my energy levels and brain how they are at the moment, I just forget to then make shakes, so I've sometimes only had 1, plus my SS+ meal, but most of the time 2 and just forgetting my third. And then suddenly in bed realise I haven't had enough shakes, but by that point don't want to have to get up and have them. I might start taking my three for the day out of the drawer and have them on the side so that I see them and get reminded to have them. I know that I really do need to get my 3 a day in, will make sure I do today. Thanks for your concern, really will try make sure I have my 3 a day from now on.

I'm on week 4, first 2 weeks i lost 2lbs each week, third week i gained 1lb and this week nothing seems to be happening. If my WI is bad tomorrow and no better loss than 2lbs then CD isnt for me. I can spend £40 on better things and lose 1lb a week eating sensibly.

I know im probably just in a bad mind set at the moment but seriously spending that money every week and seeing no results is pretty darn deflating!!

And no im not having any toilet troubles quite the opposite actually

Either way i'll give it till tomorrow night and discuss it all with my CDC.

I'm not throwing away money like this without having a good reason to be e.g. Good weight loss.

Have a good day everyone x

Ah, Heilz...having a bit a strop, aren't we?

Completely understand where are you coming from but hey, everyone has to find a diet which works for you. Doesn't matter whatever anyone else thinks.
Personaly, I think you'd have to take a step back and decide if you feel like giving it another go. Until your head is sorted it's a lil bit counterproductive (and not to mention far too expensive)

All the best hun - you know we are here to support you ....
xxxxxx

A strop indeed!!

It would be nice to know why im not losing but i guess i wont know.

As i said i'll speak to CDC tomorrow night and see what she says.

I've been SS and occasionally ss+ if needs be so no reason for no losses . . . Drinking plenty of water and no toilet trouble.

Fingers crossed i get a proper early night tonight and my scales are nicer to me in the morning.

Thinking about it, it might be the nandos sauce...

there may be something in it that makes you retain water.

ive been there the last three weeks thats how i felt so u just gotta stick with it and you will get good results. have plain chicken instead or some tuna.

http://www.nandosusa.com/aboutnandos.asp
might be worth having a look - it could be the sodium as a form of salt but would need a CDC to confirm.

do you like mushrooms?

someone posted a recipe on minimins...

grilled portabello mushrooms filled with cottage cheese and pepper

how nice does that sound?!xx

Its not the sauce im using im using hun, its just flavouring.
Its got no nutrient content on the back of the packet so i may just stick to Paprika till i can find out if it is ok to use or not.

I love Portabello mushrooms but not tried cottage cheese in ages. . .

Think i might look up some more ss+ meals to keep me going.

Thanks though hun xx

Its similar to the grinder (below) and going by the sodium content on it, its not good at all. Damit will have to find an alternative now. . . . only so much dry chciken i can eat lol x

Nando's Lemon & Herb Peri-Peri Grinder is a delicious citrusy and versatile blend of coarse sea salt, lemon, herbs, spices, and just a touch of Peri-Peri pepper from Africa. The nifty thing about Nando's Grinders is that they allow you to choose between coarse/whole seasonings or ground seasonings, all from one bottle! Simply twist off the entire top to pour out the whole spices, or pop off the lid and twist the top to custom-grind the mixture right onto food (but don't grind over steaming pots, to prevent caking). Nando's Lemon & Herb Peri-Peri Grind is extra-mild on the heat scale, but it is full of passionate flavor and lemony zest that's terrific over grilled chicken and seafood, roasted veggies, baked potatoes, salads and more. Grind some into guacamole for a unique flavor twist! For a quick fish dish, we grind some Nando's Lemon & Herb Peri-Peri Grind over both sides of a filet, spray with a cooking oil spray to seal in the spices, cover and microwave gently until the fish flakes - mmmmmm, mmmmmm good, and very simple! Nando's Lemon & Herb Peri Peri Grinder is made in South Africa, and is Kosher Parev, non-GMO, and MSG free.

I actualy bought this meat grill (you can get it anywhere really cheap - bought mine from Tesco for £14.99)
and grill every piece of meat. It never dries your meat (unless you decide to keep it on for far too long!)
It also makes yummy "grilled" mushrooms - not to mention that it's extremaly healthy. I don't use a single drop of oil... and since meat retain it's flavour no salt is needed (I'd still have some though...)

It could well be the flavouring by the sounds of it, give it a try without it I guess. You could always have a go at mixing your own little concoction of spices!

My quick trip to work ended up being longer than I thought as I popped to town and uni after. Got my other module results back which I'm VERY happy with, so just one assignment for the other module and I'll have this semesters results. Think I get that on Monday. So that put me in a pretty good mood. Though that has slightly disappeared now. Am having a pretty tired day today though. Went in to see my lecturer to speak to her about my CFS and she was great, said that she thinks all things considering I've actually done really well, that if I feel it effects me I can put in for extenuating circumstances and they'll take it into consideration, especially with deadlines. And that if there is any way they can help me, they'll do their best. I don't want to get extensions or anything because of it, but it's nice to know that I can if I need to.

Right, I need to catch up with a few other threads and then do some cleaning, I'll be back later, hope you're all having good days!

xx

Is it like a lean mean fat grilling machine by George Foreman? If so i have one of the already, hadnt thought to use that at all though. . . . My mind is just so blank to any ideas at the moment.

Normally off CD i can be really creative lol x

Thank you Caroline,

I have some random spices in my cupboard which i shal dig out when i get home :)

Altho my lovely OH is going to get me portabello musroom and cottage cheese on his way home so i can try it.

Will decide whether to try ss+ when i see my CDC tomorrow night, see if that helps me :)

I had it on a higher plan actually, was really nice!
