Well im Kirsty, im 34 i have 3 kids 16 12 and 4 i work as a carer .. I have been really overweight since the age of 18 when i had my eldest .. and was in a violent controlling relationship away from my family so i ate and ate and ate ... myself up to 15.7 stone
(im only 5f3) I left when i was 25 and met a wonderful man whom i now share my life with and we have a son (4) together .We live in a small village in the New Forest with our choccy lab Bosun

I have lost
2 stone in the past doing other diets.
This diet is a first for me and has so far changed my life! .. I dont have to stress about how many points are in this and that .. and i dont have to think about what im eating, Im currently 25lbs down .. and i have another 2 stone to go (altho am considering 3) ..

Im really looking forward to getting to know everyone on here :) xxx

Hi Kirsty,

Welcome to the group and nice to meet you :)

I'm Becca, 23 from Kent...stats in my signature :) good luck with your final 2/3 stone...

xx

The CD fibre GIVES me constipation haha I have to use Movicol...much better...but if i need a quick fix then dulcolax perles or glycerin suppositories ;) xx

That doesn't sound fun!!

I'm finally making way on my dissertation now that I've decided to just leave out Reading festival and am on almost 8000, I can't believe I'm being so organised and motivated, it just isn't me! ha

Well I've done 7954, to be precise! And it's got to be 10000, so not a lot. Is crazy to think that some people haven't even started theirs! I want to try and get my final draught in to my supervisor by the end of the month, that way I can focus on the other assignments I've got this semester as there's one due the 22nd of March, and possibly another one around then too, and another 2 later on.

Hi Pixie!!!

Welcome to a "mad house"!!!
As mentioned before we are the BEST team around and happy with our CD journey (well, most time anyway :)

I am Chloe from Ldn and I am half way through my journey. 32lbs lost and 32lbs to go :) This should be interesting.
I did try WW and low carbs, and I also tried to tweak CD to have it my own way... Learnt the hard way that you do really have to stick to CD 100% to see the results you after. What keeps me going is ever changing scale reading (yeah, I did develop compulsive weighing disorder!) and of course amazing minimins support!!! I couldn't do without it....

So again - warm welcome and wishing you good luck for rest of your journey xxx

Hi Thanks both for the lovely welcome :) ..

Im home from work now so vegging out till tea time and the kids demand food ! .. I wish they wouldnt do that :giggle:

Hi ladies,

Kirsty - Hello, i'm Hayley, I'm 22 and from Buckinghamshire. Been on this diet since Octoer, came off it end of November due to being ill and restarted in January. Welcome to the group :p

Vicky - Glad to see your feeling better hunni.

Chloe - Hows the cycling going? Hope the rain hasnt put you off?

Caroline - Hope the date goes ahead, i agree wit the other girls; go "comfortable". I went on my first date in flares, red DC trainers, a vest top and a thin jacket. He liked me like that without slapping on make up, overdoing my hair or over dressing so that was good enough for me. Let us know how you get on?!

Becca - Toilet troubles over now?! Im quite glad to say that CD doesnt so any harm to me but then i dont think i have been on CD ss long enough to find out. How you doing hun?

Hope i havent missed anyone out?! Im sorry im not on here much now. xx

Hi hayley nice to meet you :)

Ive had my 3 packs for today so thats me on the water from now till bed time :) .. ho hum lol

I've had a crap day yesterday as I was sooooo hungry whole day....
After seeing CDC I did blip :-/ Just felt really really hungry...sorry...
But I can't do anything about it today and I am going to draw the line there.
Back to ss+ from now on. Especially that I decided that I WILL NOT CHEAT anymore for the whole lent period which is 46 days from today.
I intend to stick to it until Easter - bring on the challenge.

CDC scale were a wee less friendlier than mine so I am officialy 2lbs lighter than my last week reading. It still puts me in a strong position to meet Feb challenge - 7lbs to go!!! Bring it on x

I hope everyone is doing better than I do! xxx

Morning everyone :)
Mini your post sounds really positive ... its lovely to read :)
Rebecca Doing good here hows you ?

I have a question .. does anyone here eat the CD bars ? if so do you find it makes you hold onto the weight atall or hasnt it effected your weight loss atall ? .. Ive just tried them for the first time this week, but am scared.. Ive had 2 so far this week ..

Hello Pixie,

Good to see you here. Everyone is different. Some ppl survive on bars itself and have no problem sticking to CD 100%
I did try bars and they make me crave for more food....
So atm I do keep one (I can't stress word one more!!!) in my fridge. That's in addition to usual number of shakes etc.
It's cut in small pieces and it's my emergency "sweet" when I need to pick.... especialy late at night.
It does work as a treat for me.

Bars should't really affect your journey but all depends how carb sensitive you are. So really you won't know until you try...

In terms of the weight loss you wont see big difference (if any)- it's just can make ss-ing a lil more difficult xxx

Thanks mini i kinda thought about the whole eating thing and i have to say my tum has been growling alot more at me .. and i woke up with the most awful indegestion this morning ...

Now im not putting this wholey down to the bars but i am keeping my eye on it! .. Im not having one today, and will see what happens over night and tomorow morning

Chloe - what did you blip on...naughties ?? lol glad to hear you are putting it behind you...

Kirsty - The stomach growls are normal regardless of whether you are on bars or not...I think you need to decide whether you are physically hungry or if your stomach is just growling...(mine growls when I take fibre for example!!!) See how you get on...
I have a bar a day if that helps and hasn't hindered my losses...
xx

Hello Becca - yesterday naughtiness erm... let's just not go there.
Just to say that it wasn't anthing sweet though - just a substantial meal (and no, it wasn't low carbs either)...

Kirsty - u'll get your stomach growling like crazy first few days - it's sound of it being rather empty and not knowing what to do LOL
Nothing to worry about it will go away xxx

thanks mini .. am 6 weeks in tho lol :) .. guess i just didnt notice the growling before and am over analysing the bars lol

Evening Ladies,

Hope everyone has had a good day, my damn horse booted me one today so hopping about lol...not sure if i hurt my self more by thumping him back tho lol...warned him unless his attitude changes he'll be in a tin called winalot:rotflmao: but know he knows i would never do that:rolleyes:..5 weeks till me easter break and taking him with me so that if he manages to get me off i'll land in sand:D instead of the concrete that broke me leg last 2 times lol.

So diet wise i'm easing my self back in 2 sole source just so my cold/flu don't flair up.

Chloe don't worry about the blip, think sometimes it just has to happen, the one thing i do like about cd is how bad it makes me feel when i blip, other diets never did haha.

Kirsty hope the bars don't effect ya weigh in, i'm sure they won't. But good luck with weigh in hun.

Becca how's ya day been chick? hope ya ok and still been the cd star that you are:D

Caroline,Hayley and eli hope you ladies are ok and had a good day.

Hope to catch up soon everyone:D x x
