Day 1/65
Restart weight: 13st 12lb

Soooo... Where do I start - maybe DO NOT DRINK WHILST IN KETOSIS!!!! Friday I had a shake before I left, then when we arrived at the (beautiful) barn was presented with a glass of champagne... Swiftly followed by another! At this point I thought I'd probs call it a day drinking wise, but dinner was a lasagne (I had a small portion with salad and about a spoonful of cheesecake for pudding) so I assumed I'd be out of ketosis so had maybe 3 small glasses of wine and a shot of something sweet when we were playing a game... Clearly not out of ketosis as was sick when we went to bed and had a hangover to die for the next morning - shakes and everything!

So, the next morning had some toast and bacon, then we went on an orienteering challenge. Lunch was a buffet style affair so had some carby bits and finally felt a lot better! We had some beauticians come in in the afternoon so had a massage which was lovely! Then we had a butler in the buff come to serve us cocktails! So obvs couldn't say no so had a few pimms (plus I knew I was ok after all those carbs!) and a couple of glasses of white with dinner which was pate, chicken & pasta, chocolate torte (yum!) small portions so ate it all! No hangover or sickness!!

Breakfast yesterday was toast and bacon again, then by the time I got home I really didn't want to cook so we had a kebab - to be fair I had chicken tikka in pitta bread so could have been worse!

So that's me, 5lb heavier than before I went away, but thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn't have changed it! Hoping it's mainly glycogen so will be off in a couple of days so can continue with my journey! Doing a countdown to holiday to keep me motivated! Missing ketosis coz it's so bleeding hot and muggy!

Looking forward to the next few days of headaches etc! Not!!!

Will catch up with everyone later, sorry I didn't stay to plan like I was bleating on about before I left lol!! ;-)
 
It sounds like a fabulous weekend (bar the throwing up :)) and I'm glad you had a great time - don't worry about not doing as you thought, we all do that - especially me lol.

Good luck with day 1 and hopefully your gain will be gone in no time :) xx
 
Lol, as you say Katie it was a great weekend aside from that!!

Im soooooooo hungry! And have a headache! Weirdly I actually find it quite funny though, it's my own fault and I knew it was coming when I was munching toast at the weekend! So at least I'm not being a grumpy bum about it! Looking forward to getting home and taking maudy for a walk, also looking forward to the ketosis chills! :)

Hope you're all having a far better day than me in your ketosis induced highs! I'm so jealous! ;-)
 
Lol it'll soon pass, that wonder drug ketosis will soon be taking you over....and in my world anything is worth suffering for bacon on toast, that's my fave thing to eat so I'm very jealous of your weekend. Sadly I've got a banging head due to sinusitis and didn't get the joys of the bacon on toast :)

Headache sorted with a nurofen thingy and not actually hungry at all - yippee :) gonna take mauda-keena for a walkies then am actually looking forward to my pack for dinner!

Amazed I have managed to jump straight back on so easily, had prepared myself for a week of moping about lol!! :)

Well done on getting straight back on track. Hopefully seeing as you got back on the plan quickly the headache won't be around for long x

Loss since yesterday: 1/2lb


So, half a pound off for me this morning, not gonna lie, was hoping for more considering how fats it went on, not going to get the 5lb off by official weigh in next Monday at this rate!

Oh well, just got to keep on trying! Hopefully back in ketosis soon! :)
 
Still half a bag of sugar off Kylie. How's the head today x
 
Hi Susie :) Headache not too bad today at all - my head on the other hand not so good - I'm really hungry, but I don't think it's actual hunger, more like boredom / weird rebellious hunger :-( I'm seriously contemplating going to get some chicken for lunch as I've already eaten my bar - looked at what I had the other week when I forgot my bar for lunch and it's about 140 cals and 10g carbs so thinking I might need to go get something similar just to stop this feeling... don't know what to do??
 
Leave it for a while Kylie, usually when I'm feeling that kind og hunger it passes after a while. Try having a cup of coffee & if you get desperate add a little bit of milk.
Have you got any bullion to drink ?

We have to get used to these pangs of hunger cos they do tend to pop up now & then x
 
If you have already eaten the chicken Kylie try not to let it lead to eating anything else. The chicken will be fine while you get back into the swing of things !!
 
Was working out how much I needed to lose by holiday if I wanted to get into the 11s. Its 3.1 lb a week which is achievable. Are you aiming for something similar?
 
Hi Susie! Well I did try to leave it... But it wouldn't go away lol! So I had 1/2 pack baby leaves, 1/2 pack of chicken slices and 2 slices of roast beef. Very full now lol! According to mfp it was about 200 cal and about 5g of carbs so will just have a pack for dinner and call it a day (if already scoffed my bar this morning lol!!)

I do have something to aim for, my holiday at the end of September :)... I hope this is just a temporary thing after all the sugary carbs at the weekend... It's my usual 6 week I want to give up rearing it's ugly head!!

And my headache is back with a vengeance :-(
 
Hi Susie! Well I succumbed!! I had 1/2 bag baby leaf salad, 1/2 pack chicken slices & 2 slices of roast beef. According to mfp about 200 calls and 5g carbs so not too bad. Very full and satisfied now!

Will have my second pack for dinner and then not have a third so shouldn't be too bad.

Hoping that it's just so hard due to the after effects of the weekend and not my six week I want to give up mindset trying to rear it's ugly head :-(

Thumping headache this afternoon too :-(

I have a holiday booked at the end of September so that should be spurring me on really, instead I seem to have lost my way a bit - need the ketosis fairy to come and visit me very soon!!
 
Hey kylie just checking in and seeing how your getting on.
Wow you have had lots of events going on haven't you?
My main reason for choosing July to do ts is cause I have no plans or foodie events!
A holiday is always something to keep you focused, I'm due away August and am somewhat worried what I am going to do to keep me going afterwards. Am scared I'll gain it all again, I lost a few stone beginning of last year and although I maintained for the rest of the year I do gain around 9lbs over Xmas/new year period. Think I'm now about 2lbs off my lightest and would like to be 7-14 lbs below this before hols to allow a regain.
Hope you have managed to stick with it till yr next event xx
 
Ah bless ya, you're so close to goal, can't wait to get there - will take me forever though! I'm not the biggest loser at the best of times, and as you say, we have a lot going on at the moment so that's definitely not going to help! I love spending time with our family & friends, but don't they know I'm on a diet lol!!

I think you're deffo right to aim a bit lower than where you want to stick at - also that has hit home with me after gaining 5lb after having 3 days off (well 2 1/2 days really!!) shocking!!

Where are you off to in august? Can't wait for our turkey holiday in September :)
