Hi
I use my slow cooker a lot (in fact the family have banned me from getting it out for a while!).
Put in butternut squash, leek, onion, red pepper and a few red lentils - with enough water to just cover - leave all day then liquidise adding salt and curry powder to taste
leek and potatoes with chicken stock to cover -cook all day then liquidise leaving a few potatoes out then add back into the soup
cheap stewing beef, onion, leek, carrot, swede, butternut squash - leave all day - then liquidise about a quarter to make a thick gravy (may need a stock cube or two to add a bit of flavour)
