I usually find that once it's out, it's out - I don't have to keep going to the loo after that

hmmm you have the runs , but you want to take a laxitive ?
you can have the runs and be constipated , when i took pico I hadnt been for 2 weeks , it was really bad , I took 4 and they worked in about 5 hours
I then didnt go for a week so i took 2 and it did nothing , shortly after i took a break so went back to normal anyway
to save yourself getting like this again , I can recommend a couple of teaspoons of bran per day , its not perfect but I go every other day now

Hmm, definitely TMI now but you can get something called overflow constipation whereby you get a touch of the runs as this is the stuff that has bypassed the constipated mass and leaked out round the edge. TMI? Well I did tell you it would be .

Yuk !! BG, (I was about to post the same myself )
My 5 year old was pooing himself everyday for about 2 weeks and I just couldnt understand why this had suddenly started to happen
i researched it and kept getting the same result , constipation !!
I gave him laxatives and ive never seen anything so big come out of someone so small TMI? lol
solved the problem , i then had to completely change his diet , believe it or not i was actualy giving him too much fibre in his diet ??/ it doesnt make sense does it
anyway Ive managed to completely cure him of his baked bean fetish , ie everything had to be with baked beans and he no longer has fruit and fibre or all bran ha ha
and you would think i was doing a good thing
I know this doesnt help you one bit , but its keeping me out of the kitchen

Bran is only great though if your son drinks lots of water - I use psyllium husks but if I don't drink the water it bungs me up! If I am really stuck - I douche TMI I know but quick effective and no pills needed!

I dont give him bran , but he would occasionally have a bowl of the cereal , all bran or fruit and fibre
