Naughty I know - but this is my traditional welcome aboard present to myself!

Safely onboard the beautiful Ruby Princess and settled into my cabin. Met my smiling steward Melchior from the Philippines, who is no taller than me!

Lifeboat muster in a bit then the ship sails for Guernsey at 5pm.

Hello everyone

Greetings from Guernsey, after a bit of a rocky night on the ship!!

A bit windy, but the sun is shining now

Had a nice dinner last night - gammon and vegetables, and I succumbed to a slice of apricot pastry and custard afterwards

Tonight is a formal night - but as I didn't bring any dress up stuff this time, I'll make myself scarce elsewhere.

The movie this evening is 'Saving Mr Banks' - if it's warm enough on deck I'll go to that.

Tomorrow we are in Cobh - looking forward to that as it has a lot of Titanic history.

Off to get some coffee now - trying hard to stay away from the temptation of food at lunch time if I can
