I normally hate photos of myself, but quite liked this one .......the pose hides my multiple chins!!!

Retirement is suiting me, I feel very relaxed and happy

The photograph was taken on my recent cruise

I am really enjoying retirement........no more stress, and comfort eating is a thing of the past! I can truthfully say I have not had one thought of bingeing since I left work

Bit dark and gloomy here, but it doesn’t feel too cold

Will go for my walk this afternoon if the rain stays away ️

All well on the diet front

......though I have to say I am amazed at the changes in the Exante range, and not in a good way. Out of interest I was browsing the website last night - no cottage pie, curry, pasta or apple crumble
In fact, very few hot meals at all. As I hate the shakes, I’m really thankful I have a stockpile of old packs which should pretty much see me through

Well done on the walk. I definitely felt spring in the air today, it was marginally warmer. I was surprised no Apple crumble on the web. Do they remove things the. Bring them back? I fortunately like the shakes. Well done you getting comfort eating under control. Enjoy your retirement.

Lovely photo Darcy. I find the website very odd for products disappearing and re-appearing! I wanted some vanilla almond shakes the other week and they had disappeared, I asked customer services why and they said they were out of stock and they did not have a date when they would be back in but the very next day they had re-appeared!

So many of the hot meals have gone......curry, spaghetti bolognese, mushroom risotto, pasta carbonara and shepherds pie all no longer there!! No more apple crumble or blueberry pancakes either

Luckily I have a stash from the past

.......which will keep me going for a fair while, as I don’t do the shakes. Having a hot meal is so much more ‘normal’

I’ve got slim and save as a backup plan, as they have a nice variety of products

I haven’t bought any products for a while as I have quite a stockpile

......but I was shocked at the limited variety when I was browsing the website. They seem to be almost entirely focused on shakes, and there are new varieties in them. Not much use to me, as I like the hot meals

I have found an alternative in Slim and Save, so will buy from them when I need to stock up again

I have been amazed at how comfort eating has been removed from my thoughts since stopping work.......I don’t think I realised just how stressful it all was. Even on my cruise though, where food was everywhere, I didn’t feel the need to devour everything in sight ....which I normally would have

I can’t explain it, but it feels like a switch has been turned in my head!!

This is my year to succeed

I can understand Darcy. I was off for 4 weeks with dreadful flu and even though appetite was limited my desire to comfort eat was less. When I went back to work and tried SW I went totally off the rails with takeaways etc almost daily. I can't explain it. Exact is so strict it's making me feel instead of eat (which is difficult to deal with.) Hope you're having a good day. I feel spring in the air at last. I'm so excited for my first cruise in August, our first family holiday.

I’ve done the daily takeaways too.......kept Pizza Hut in business for months on end

I’ve lost my holiday gain and an additional 2 lbs........making 20 lbs in total
