Well done Darcy :D

Good afternoon Darcy, yeah cold wet and miserable here too :hug99: xx

Evening all.

Just sitting down after coming straight home from work and then spending the evening clearing out my bedroom for decorating.

A bit tired now, to say the least!

If I'm really honest I'm getting a bit stressed with it all at the moment. Caring for Dad is getting really hard ( he's 88 next week, immobile and the 'bladder issues' are getting worse, and now he has cellulitis to add to it all ), the house is now a tip from top to bottom, and I'm back to travelling a lot for work - have to get up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to go to Taunton. Much as I'm motivated, there is just one of me trying to do everything! :sigh:

I know the house will look great when finished......but this evening it feels like mission impossible somehow. It's all a bit overwhelming sitting here looking at all the stuff everywhere. Anyone see the hoarding programme last night? Oh dear, how similar my house is!!

Right, feel better for saying that.

On a positive note, another TS day completed! :)

Aw hun I think one of your brother/sister need to know what it's like for you and have dad for a while? When's his respite due?

I don't know how you do it Darcy, you have so many excuses to bin this diet and yet you just soldier on through good times and bad, it really is great inspiration for us all, you are a star.

Sorry to hear that things with your dad are not improving, it's so tough emotionally dealing with that stuff and I think you've proven just how strong a person you really are being able to keep all these plates in the air at the one time.

On a lighter note, really glad to hear the house, all be it at the "getting worse before it gets better" stage, is progressing at pace now, it won't be long until it's all over and you can come home one night and just watch Coronation Street like the rest of us!! Hang in there gorgeous xxx

Thanks Ali.

Thankfully, respite due on Sunday. Originally for a week, but I have paid for an extra week to have a decent break and hopefully give the builder a chance to really get on with no one in the house all day.

My nephew has just left, and we have finished shifting the furniture out of my room.

Feel a bit better all round this evening :)

Aww, thank you so much

I don't often get down, but last night was all just too much for some reason.

Dad goes into the nursing home on Sunday for 2 weeks, which gives me a good break. Hopefully I can get quite a lot done as well, without having to worry about him.

Thank you for your support - it means a lot. :)

There's light at the end of the bin bags ;)
Treat yourself to a nice massage or pedicure while you have the opportunity. Don't work too hard xx

Good afternoon Darcy, hope you're looking after yourself :hug99: xx

Hi Giggles :)

I'm fine, thanks. Plan to take up Ali's suggestion of a trip to the beauty salon!

Dad goes into respite on Sunday - have to say I will be greatly relieved for the break, and hopeful that I can get some major sorting done in the house as well without having him to worry about.

Also very pleased that a friend at work has agreed to go to Exeter in my place next week, so no travel for me. That makes life easier as well.

I'm getting there............but slowly! :D

That will so do you good, lift your spirits and set you up in good stead for another busy week of sorting! :hug99: xx
