Nice feeling isn't it - ripping out the old stuff? A lot of disruption, but nice when it's all done.

Builder thinks another 4 weeks of work for him

.......but it will take me weeks to clean up the dust on everything - and put things away in their new homes.

Still have clothes on the floor as he needs to build the wardrobes for me at some point

.......what the driver must think, I do not know!! Where is all this stuff coming from!

One thing for sure - I don't need the gym with all the running up and down stairs I'm doing. With 4 flights in the house, believe me I'm getting plenty of exercise!

Weighed this morning and I have lost 3 pounds, so starting to lose the weight I put on.

Onwards and downwards!

What a storm!

Part of the UPVC trim on my window has been blown off - something else to fix! And it had to be on the top floor of the house

Treated myself to Virgin cable, TV and broadband, had it installed on Wednesday - now the broadband has packed up and an engineer has to come back on Monday. Not impressed so far......

Luckily hadn't got round to cancelling my previous provider, so have that hooked up again.

I just seem to go from one problem to the next recently.

Well, a nice sunny day today and I feel better! Yesterday was not a good day - everything going wrong, and my Dad was being difficult as well.

Have made real progress today on the sorting front. Finally putting things away rather than just moving stuff around.

Builder is back on Tuesday for the final push to the finish

I feel a bit guilty for getting so het up about all this - after all, it was my idea

.....funny how I can cope with all sorts of horrible things professionally, but a bit of wallpaper and laminate flooring has sent me over the edge!!!

Hi darcy nothing worse than DIY, my husband keeps threatening to decorate hall stairs landing! but ours is huge and I really can't stand the thought of all the mess! I may suggest he do it whilst I am away on my cruise! I can imagine the answer though LOL xx

If I had my time over I would move to a hotel for 6 months and let the builders get on with it - without me!!

Ooh a cruise - to where? I'm off to the Med in September.
