Stop credit crunching my blueberries!!!!

That's just reminded of something yesterday. I went to Iceland as I needed some bacon for something I was making.

I looked at the different packets and noticed that if I bought 3 individual packs at £1 a pack for 200g that I could get 600g for £3, but if I bought 1 big pack I got 500g for £3.

Strange. There looked to be no difference in quality. The only difference with my eyes was the way it was packaged.

Tescos own brand sweetcorn is the same - cheaper to buy each can sperately than 3 bundled together - even though they are right beside each other on the shelf!

I have to be a careful shopper each week, as we have a budget to stick to - and I agree fillymum that it is wrong that we are being ripped off and budgeting carefully - yet the big chains are rubbing their hands with glee at the huge profits..

Thanks for the advice on the frozen berries.. just have to make space in my freezer this weekend for a bag!
