We'd some help guys, I'm struggling not so much with wanting to eat food but with the taste of the exante stuff, had a taste of the porridge couldn't stomach it so had the strawberry shake which was ok just downed it, had the vanilla shake for lunch downed that and tried a bar for dinner there and honestly I couldn't finish it, it's filling but the taste makes me feel sick :( will the taste get any better???
 
Your tastes definitely change during the course of this diet. When I first started this diet I really liked the strawberry and couldn't stand the chocolate, now it's the other way around.
Have you tried different things with the shakes, ie have them hot, add coffee, or sweetners. The bars you could chop up and just eat them over the course of the day as little treats, might make them more pallatable.
Hope you manage to find something you like and then at least you could just order that flavour the next time

I am not going to give up no way! Lol this diet will not beat me! Got banana shake and whisk out ready for tomorrow breki and orange and choc bar in bag for work for lunch, then mushroom soup for dinner, loads of water in the fridge, what are your thoughts on coke zero?? X
 
I have coke zero. I have had several of the none citric acid drinks n have been ok. Have u looked into the advice on improving the packets? X
 
How many coke zero can you have? No I don't really know what to do to make them taste better, do you know? Xx
 
I'd recommend getting Biggest Loser bars, instead of the Exante bars. I've had them before and the Breakfast Bar is really nice. It's just not so easy to find them. Asda seems to be the best bet, the bigger stores anyway.

The Asda Measure-Up bars are okay too, but not as nice as the Biggest Loser Breakfast Bar.

Just make sure to get the 'meal replacement' bars and not the 'snack' bars, if you do decide to try either of them.
 
Tesco "ultra slim" bars are heavenly!

Some coffee in a warm vanilla and chocolate. Or chocolate just warm. Blend the shake with ice (banana and strawberry).

Oh you are such a star :) so the tesco ones, they are ok on this diet then, same cals ect and won't knock me yet ketosis x
 
Yes, they r nutritionally the same! And wait till u try them x

Hot with a spoonful of coffee and a sweetner?
Cold with a spoonful of coffee (my favourite!)

You can make a shmuffin :D but only allowed to do that with 1 pack a day. Mix your pack up with a few spoonfuls of water until it's a thick paste, then pop it in the microwave for about 60 seconds (sometimes less, just keep an eye on it) and it turns out like a cake type thing!

Ice lollies, again can only do these for one pack a day.
Mix your pack with about 300-400ml water, I use sparkling, pour into ice lolly moulds and eat them when they are set.

Mix up your shake til it's a thick paste, spread it on tinfoil so it's a choc bar shape and put it in the freezer. Takes about an hour or so to 'set' You can then eat it like a choc bar or cut it into little pieces.
Again only for 1 pack a day.

I made banana custard when I was on exante last time.
Make your shake up as normal and add a few drops of vanilla essence, put it in a saucepan and heat it up, stirring all the while so you dont burn it.
It goes nice and thick and tastes really really nice.
And yet again, only for 1 pack a day!

You can make choc mint shake if you make mint tea & use that to make it with... These are what I like...

* vanilla made with hot water with sweetener & a spoon of coffee
* as above but done with choc shake (like a mocha)
* banana made with about 100-150 ml boiling water-no need to microwave so you can have more than once a day but drink plenty of water after-it's like banana custard!

I also put garlic salt, chilli powder & black pepper in the soups for extra flavour! :0)
 
Aw thanks for the tips :) I will have to try these :) I know I shouldn't but I weighed myself this morning :0 2.5lbs off :) I'm feeling good about day 2 now Woohoo lol oh what sweeteners just anyone's ok? Do you drink coke zero? Do you know how many you can have? X
 
I have coke zero but try to limit myself to one a day if I need one, kinda see it as my wee treat. It's also been really nice to have in the hot weather. Don't think there's a set amount you can drink, it really depends on the individual. Also have you tried boullion? That's a lovely hot savoury drink you're allowed.

I use Splenda but must be a tablet sweetener, any of those are fine :0)

And yes I can recommend the veg bouillon-it's yummy!!!
