STS and controlled weight gain thread.

I hope so.....you've done great sparkle. I'm still fitting in most of my pre pregnancy clothes so I'm trying not to get too stressed and the maternity stuff I've bought were next size up and got loads of room so I'm confident they'll last till baby born x
 
Well done ladies, ive gained 1lb this wk, just keep on track ur all doing fab if your clothes are still fitting then its just baby growing and if haven't been trying you cud be alot heavier by now, my fluid is quite low so thats why I don't think ive gained alot of weight in this pg.

I'm really jealous mrs s, wish we cud all have pizza hut and sts :)

Only 1 more wi friday till section! better aim for a good wk x

That's brilliant you are still in pre pregnancy clothes. Just shows that you are gaining because of the baby otherwise you would be going up sizes. I think sometimes we take too much notice of the scales (I know I do). I'm still in pre pregnancy clothes too but can't get 2 pairs of my smallest jeans on unless I spend the day breathing in lol I think if we go by our clothes fitting then we are doing really well :) x

I also weigh heavier than I look, and I know that I've been like that for years. I have a friend who weighs the same as me nearly and she's in a size 22 and not pregnant. My jeans were getting too tight around my waste so have maternity jeans in a size bigger but there too baggy, although maternity stuff tends to be a bit bigger. I had to buy next size up cos a lot of my normal clothes weren't long enough for my bump. Having a few issues with my scales too so I've just bought some more today. I don't think I'm that upset about what I've gained so far, think I've done well that way, I think it's knowing what's coming gaining like this that's got me stressed lol x
 
It's true though we have to remember even though we have gained we could've put so much more on if we wernt trying!
Every pair of my jeans still buttons up fine and some are even abit big now so I know I'm doing okay X

Sparkle it sounds like ur well on track, your doing fantastic if your normally a size 12 and you have a lower bmi than most of us. 7lb gain is brilliant for 22 wks :) even if you gain another stone by the end of pg im sure your have a nice loss after birth.

I was about your size when I had my first baby I lost bit weight in begining and started to gain weight in second half and came out out of hospital a stone lighter than pre pregnancy and then lost more weight once my milk dried up so its really possible to be slimmer after pregnancy x
 
Hey ladies, just thought I'd share because I had a bit of a break through last night. Couldn't find any pj bottoms but when I did they were a pair that were a bit snug even before I got pregnant, but put them on and they never felt any tighter! So this morning I tried on my normal pre pregnancy jeans, hadn't done this so far as they were tight around my hips in the first couple months of pregnancy but weren't tight on my legs. However, I can still get the button done up. There too tight now to wear as they'd be very uncomfortable but now that I've done that it's made me feel loads better about my weight gain x
 
Yeah I thought I'd have gotten huge on bottom but can't be doing as bad as I thought, although I prob won't get them past my thighs in a couple of weeks but I don't feel too bad now. How you feeling? x
 
Have to agree clothes are much better way of telling how much weight we gaining, hope we won't be in maternity clothes for long after birth.

I'm feeling loads better today, didnt manage to keep anything down last nite, but had a good nite sleep, think thats helped.

Just had some milk for breakfast, im going try and be good this wk and not eat to much junk food as ive only got wk left :( and I want be healthy for my section.

Any tips to help lose weight in the first few wks after birth x
 
I eat a lot of grapefruit because I lose better on the weeks I'm eating it. However it's an acquired taste and a bit Fidley if you want something quick. But I do believe it helps, and lots of water :) x
 
I love grapefruit I cut it in 6 wedges and eat it like orange wedges rather than mess about with a spoon x
