Stubbseys Diary - back in the zone!

it certainly is oh la la!!!!

had a good day today went to Ashford with a friend... did a spot of shopping, only bought a nice pair of tights nothing exciting, then went out to pub n for dinner. had a good chat and put the world to rights

food today

b. 3 rashers smoked bacon, 2 eggs, butter
d. king prawn skewer (4 prawns) sirloin steak, 2 large mushrooms, salad and mayo

i left my dinner too late and ended up rumbling like a sink hole... it was so painful, and make things worse the restaurant took ages with the main course! it was lovely tho!!

hope u all had a good day, tomorrow i am visiting my sister who has made us a Dundee cake for christmas, she is having a tough time with her eyes at the mo, she needs an op but has to see a specialist because they may think its too risky. it will be nice to catch up with her and her hubby... but not her dog, it cant leave me alone and i weigh less now so i will probably get knocked all over the place and get covered in hairs which i am allergic to.. sigh!
 
LOL a small price to pay for being a much smaller Stubbsey :D

Sorry to hear about your sister's eyes, hope the specialist visit is good news for her xxx
 
Have a lovely day today. We're due more snow late morning, so wrap up warm. I got caught out in that lot on weds, on the A2!
 
had a nice time at my sisters she made us a tea which was ok as i could have lots of the stuff, like ham, cheese, salmon, i took some oopsies as she wanted to try them. had a good chat with her and her husband john n her eldest daughter.

b. 2 bacon, 2 eggs cooked in butter
d. 2 slices of ham, 2 eggs (2 many eggs), lettuce, mayo, 1oz cheese, salmon, oopsies
 
had 4 of them again today so i am glad of that lol!!

feel really tired, burned the candle at both ends....

b. streaky bacon, scrambled egg
d. rump steak, 2 bacon, 2 large mushrooms, 1 tomato, 2 eggs (fried in butter)
s. 2 sugar free jelly, 2 tbsp cream
 
she really liked them and wants me to send her the recipe, i am not sure she wants to do low carb or just make them adaptable for slimming world on days when she cant have bread.

i have come crashing down to earth with a bump today, guess it had to happen! cant be up all the time!

yesterday i had a fast and just had chicken and veggies

today i am planning on lamb chops for main meal, got some chicken left for lunch if i want it or couple of oopsies if i get hungry, but i did have a nice big brekkie so might not. decided to try to brighten myself up a bit so went out for a walk for an hour, helped a bit i think.

19 years ago today my Dad died suddenly, it was the first person i had ever lost that was important to me, and it was very traumatic and sudden. i actually got on my hands and knees and hugged him on the floor where he fell and said goodbye. i dont usually get like this on the anniversary, in fact i want it to slip by without any memory, i prefer to remember the good days not the worst one.. but today for some reason, whether it has been because i have been talking a lot about him recently or because my sister and her kids have put stuff on facebook i dont know what it is... i have had the worst blues...
 
I'm the same with Mum's anniversary - it all comes crushing back, particularly me whispering in her ear that she could let go, so she could be at peace.

The worst times of our lives, so there's absolutely every reason you will remember and be sad. Just know that there's big woolly hugs from all of us xxxx
 
And a bit late but a big hug from me too. I feel guilty when I don't remember the anniversary of my Dad but it's a good thing that I only remember the good times now, I even have to try and work out how many years it's been. xx
 
i didnt know how long it had been for my Dad until my sister put it on facebook that it had been 19 years.. I think it got to me so much more this year because i have been spending a fair bit of time near where they used to live and talking about my life there as a teenager to my 'french friend'.. bringing back lots of old memories also. then my sister and her daughter put things on facebook, that day i had only had about 3 hours sleep so i was sooo tired and emotional anyway.

i try not to let the day get to me, my mum always used to dwell on it and i used to try to tell her, dont remember this day mum, remember the good ones!! i always had that in my head and i too have felt guilty when i know it slipped by when i had forgotten.. but i would rather it did.

today, i forgot to have breakfast, went out shopping with my oh, i ended up forgetting lunch too, so decided good day to have a fast... i had a grill up for dinner and some soup which was lovely.... then oh spent a fortune on my for xmas which ended up as interest free credit for 6 months, that will probably get shifted onto a 0 percent card.. ugh more credit... but it was really nice of him!!

got a busy ish week this week, especially thursday, got lunch with a girl friend, then bingo in the evening with my gay friend Steve, cant wait to see him as he was ill last week so couldnt make it. we always have such a good time! then friday night i am out too, tomorrow is my only day of rest lol, spending that cooking. really should go to the gym!

I celebrate Mum's birthday instead of the day she actually went - they are only a month apart - and it's a much more positive thing for me to do, especially being so far away from where she is buried. I'd love to go and see her every now and then and have a good chat...
 
I agree, i always told my Mum to remember his birthday not the day he died!

I had a busy day in the end, it was meant to be quiet and i was going to make the kids n steve a banana cake, but my youngest had some time off work and wanted me to take him xmas shopping, he begged me as he said he didnt have many chances to go... so i took him, he spent all his money on HIMSELF... he bought himself his hair wax, his toiletries, a game for himself, then he allowed me to buy him a christmas dinner and take him home.... something was wrong with that picutre?

i have eaten a lot today feel a bit like a fat pig, but my favorite label lab jeans are falling down very sad about that!

Was going to fast today but woke up too early n too hungry! Had way too much on my mind to get back to sleep, sooo hate that!
