Gonna have to give this a try, it sounds delish!

Just leave it until it thickens, it will vary depending on the heat and ingredients, just keep on stirring from time to time and you will notice it starts to get thicker by itself.

Depends on what you read. But you do need to be so so careful when reheating rice, or eating it after it cools.
