Looks like the weekly syns are going ok? Do think this will be how you 'do syns' from now on?

I'm not sure, I think I'll see how weigh-in goes. I'm pretty sure I won't lose 4lbs again whether I daily syn or weekly syn lol but if it doesn't affect my usual losses I think I'll stick with weekly syns as I do prefer them xx

I started the day with a grapefruit and the usual Saturday morning dippy eggs and soldiers (heb) with 2tsps of flora light (1 syn).

Lunch was leftover turkey burgers with coleslaw (0.5 syns), cucumber and cherry tomatoes.

Tea was spag bol and snacks were a mint mullerlight, yellow plum, pear and rocky road hi-fi (3 syns) xx

Total syns for the day = 4.5

Total syns for the week = 54

Well I'm glad I'm on weekly syns today as I messed up a bit lol. I'm blaming the gremlins as i had to take all 3 to town today to get things for our eldest who's got a residential trip with school tomorrow and the hubby was at work so I was stressed to the eyeballs.

I planned to have omelette for breakfast but ended up having toast (heb) with 2tsps of flora light (1 syn) and 4tsps of blackcurrant jam (2 syns).

I fed the kids in town but decided to wait until I got home for lunch by which time I was starving and as I had it in my head that I'd had the omelette for breakfast, I decided to have a ham salad sandwich on 2 slices of wholemeal toast (7 syns) with 2tsps of flora light (1 syn), lettuce and 40g of Asda 50% less fat coleslaw (2 syns). Seriously? 10 syns for lunch? I didn't even realise until I tried to add the bread to my sw diary and noticed I'd already added my heb lol. I also had 2 rollmops as the kids wanted to try them and I love them. Luckily they're syn free lol.

Sunday lunch (tea) was chicken minus the skin, mash, roasties, roast parsnips, carrot and swede mash, broccoli and cabbage with sw gravy (2 syns).

Pudding was fudge options mug cake (2.5 syns) with banana and custard mullerlight. It's the first time I've made the mug cake and although it was ok, I expected it to taste more chocolatey xx

Total syns for the day = 17.5

Total syns for the week = 71.5

I'm intrigued by the curry loaf u mention....what is it and how do u make it??

Hi Rie.bie and thanks. The curry loaf is lovely (well I think so anyway as you can tell lol). It's a pack of batchelors curry or beef flavour rice cooked following the pack instructions and blended with a tin of chickpea dhal (check syns as not all are syn free) and 4 eggs. You can add curry powder too but I don't. Pour it into a loaf tin and bake at gas mark 5 (190') for 30-40 mins until set.

hmmm.... what's a 'mug' cake ? :)

It's a sachet of options hot chocolate powder mixed with an egg and 1tbsp of sweetner in a mug and microwaved for 1 minute xx

Today has been a bit of a strange food day lol. I had similar things for lunch and tea but it was yummy so I'm not complaining.

Breakfast was apple and banana with a chocolate orange mullerlight.

Lunch was sweet chilli chicken couscous (1.5 syns) with leek, onion and pepper.

Tea was chicken fried rice with onion, peppers, mushrooms and peas.

Snacks were an apple, a plum, 1 double chocolate crisp hi-fi and 1 chocolate and caramel hi-fi (heb).

Total syns for the day = 1.5

Total syns for the week = 73

Weigh day tomorrow. Time to see how the weekly syns are working for me :-/ I'm definitely under the 105 syn maximum so hopefully it will be good news xx

Well I'm guessing weekly syns aren't for me after having my first gain :-( 1.5lbs and I'm gutted if I'm honest. My consultant thinks that I may not be eating enough (she obviously hasn't seen my diary! Lol) and said I may just need the minimum 5 syns per day although there were only 3 days where I had less than 5 :-/ . Anyway back to daily syns this week just incase lol.

I didn't have my usual fry up for breakfast this morning as the kids wanted it for tea (didn't think that I don't actually eat tea with them on a Tuesday so could have had it lol). I had an apple, banana, rocky road hi-fi (3 syns) and double choc crisp hi-fi (3 syns).

I really couldn't be bothered with tea so I just had 40g of low low cheese (hea) with 1tbsp of brown sauce (0.5 syns) on toast (heb) with tomatoes and a dark and white chocolate surprise (6.5 syns).

I used 200ml of almond milk (1 syn) for coffees xx

aww never mind on the gain......keep at it though you will prob lose double next week :)
never tried the weekly syns...maybe daily is the way its meant to be....still...sometimes we have to try these things
 
Thanks zafira, I think I was more annoyed as I only needed 1.5lbs for my club 10 and the lady who weighs us doesn't actually say on or off she just says the number unless you ask so for a moment I thought I had it :-(

I should have known the weekly syns wouldn't work as i found it easier and of course anything worth having takes effort lol xx

Sorry about your gain :-( really sucks, because you totally don't deserve it. Seems silly if it is the weekly syns when you didn't ever go over them!! I'm sure you will get the gain and the 1.5 off this week to smash your club 10. Are you back to daily syns now then?
 
Oh it's so crap when u get an unexpected gain ain't it ! I had one last week,was expecting a loss but put 1lb on but then got weighed this week and had lost 3lb so it kind of worked itself out.
I made the curry loaf today! Was soooo nice so thank u
 
Thanks ladies, the first gain is always the hardest but it's made me more determined than ever this week!

I'm back on weekly syns kazrace as at least I can definitely rule the weekly syns out as the reason for the gain.

Well done on your loss Rie.bie and I'm glad you enjoyed the curry loaf. I think I'll make some more tomorrow after I've been shopping xx

Well first day of the week and I've buggered up slightly. I forgot lunch which I haven't done for ages now. Great start to the week lol.

Breakfast was 2 plums, an apple and 2 hi-fi bars, rocky road and chocolate and caramel (heb).

My dad came round and I got nattering so completely forgot lunch :-/

Tea was my first takeaway whilst I've been on plan (dad's treat :) ) and I'm pretty pleased with myself. Chicken in oyster sauce (4.5 syns) and egg fried rice (4 syns). I felt very naughty lol but at least I resisted the prawn crackers!

My dad brought some coconut milk for me to try as he was raving about it lol so I had 100ml (1.5 syns and it really is very nice. I wonder if it can be used as a hea?

I took our eldest back to the hospital for a follow up blood test as her white cell count was high on her last one 4 weeks ago so it had to be repeated. Fingers crossed this one comes back ok. I've got to admit I'm a little bit worried as the dr has ruled out the most common reason and she's showing no sign of illness. I really need to stop overthinking everything lol xx

What the fudge is wrong with me this week!? No lunch on Wednesday and not enough syns yesterday :-( I really need to focus. I might start trying to have more syns throughout the day as just lately I've been too tired to have my nightly snacks which is usually how I bump my syns up.

So yesterday's food.

Breakfast was grapefruit and baked ham and eggs with chopped tomatoes.

Lunch was a pack of morrisons hot and spicy chicken kebabs (1.5 syns) with cherry tomatoes, cucumber and yogurt and mint dip after shopping.

Tea was chicken chow mein (bit of a chinese theme going on this week lol)

Total syns for the day = 1.5 :-(

How do I view ur pics? It says thumbnail attached at the bottom of ur posts and people comment on how nice ur food looks so other people are obviously not having any trouble but I simply can't work out how to view them !!

Yesterday wasn't bad and I seemed to be back on track. I went to a Halloween party at the playgroup that I used to help run and I was pretty well behaved lol.

I also discovered that I like watermelon much more than I thought so that's got to be a plus!

Breakfast was grapefruit, watermelon and vanilla and chocolate mullerlight.

Lunch was the last of my minestrone from the freezer (making more today).

Tea was bbq pulled pork on a wholemeal roll (heb) with sw chips, salad and coleslaw (1 syn)

Snacks were a quadruple chocolate biscuit (6 syns) at playgroup and then a coconut and lime mullerlight, apple and rocky molten caramel (5 syns) for staying up night xx

Total syns for the day = 12
