Thanks for the tip kezz, I just hot-footed it over to ebay and bought some liquid smoke too, dunno why I didn't think of it before, I had a bottle a few years ago that I bought in the USA and haven't been able to find it here, didn't think of ebay! Before I started back on SW I used to make my own boston baked bacon n beans in the slow cooker, they were lovely but used a high-syn jar of bbq sauce, now I'll be able to make them again! (I know heinz beanz etc are free but I think home-made are tastier, and with this sauce they should be better for me cos they'll be much lower sugar than regular beans). Thanks for the recipe!
