This is my first time using ths site!!!

After loosing 5 stone through diet and exercise im now giong to do the VLCD for the last three stone.

I exercise 6/7 days and am hoping to carry this on:jelous:.

Has any one got any tips for me? Oh and if i get hungry, can i have one of my PHD protien Shakes??

Hey and welcome :D

As long as you dont do too much exercise you should be ok but some people do find that exercising makes their weight loss stall, you just have to try it and see how it does/doesn't affect you really.
I would say though for the first few days on exante take it easy with the exercise as your body may need time to adjust to the so few calories.

Make sure you drink plenty of water.
If you feel hungry still after your 3 exante packs you can have some protein and vegetables, quite a lot of people do this when they need something extra.
Up in the exante section is a nice long list of things you can eat and stay in ketosis.

Just wanted to say hello and welcome :) I'd never done a VLCD until I started Exante last September, but it's the best thing I could've ever done!
Just get through the first few days, go steady on the exercise, listen to your body (but not if it's telling you to eat ;)) find distractions to take your mind off food, and drink plenty of water (I have 3-4 litres daily, and it really helped with the hunger pangs at the beginning)

And keep posting :) This website is the best support you'll get, because everyone's in the same boat!

Welcome to the exante forum ju. You will find a wealth of info & support on here. The first few days do tend to be the most difficult particularly with headaches & nausea, Have plenty of water & take some paracetamol if you do get the headaches. Some people also feel the cold more on such a low calorie intake. Try some buillon to drink as it helps. Once you're through the initial phase it gets easier. Good luck.
 
Thank u susie!! I'm a little nervous but I do have will power and buckets of it!!! Im hoping the first week won't be to bad....... I've read some awful side effects but equally some fab weight losses.

I know it's hard to say but how much do u think I will loose in the first week??

They say the average is 7-14lbs on a VLCD.
I lost 18lbs but I was a fair bit heavier than you, and I'd eaten my own body weight in junk food just before starting!

I lost 6lb the first week but struggled with the water intake to begin with. On average it works out about a stone a month although your starting weight does effect the rate of loss to begin with.
 
Ahhh!! Bless u how much have u lost if u don't mind me asking??

I have had a major binge this weekend....... I now feel so uncomfortable, and don't even know why I did it as I'm suffering bloating and all sorts!!

I've managed to lose a stone in 4 weeks but had a couple of bad days along the way. Definitely going to be a total solution week for me till Saturday. Been invited out for a meal so will eat a Ketogenic meal that evening.Then weigh in on Sunday!
 
Susie58 you are on track for what you should lose with Exante and if you havent been 100% thats even more reason to celebrate, I hope I can manage similar weight loss!!
