The road to slim

Hi everyone,

Firstly, I'd like to say a HUGE thanks to everyone who has shared their stories on this site! You have all been an inspiration to me, and kept me 100% on track! I am so grateful, and have loved reading all the posts, so decided to start my own diary. Hopefully it will be as inspiring to someone else, as yours have been to me :)

I have been on SS for 6 days now, and to be honest, it's not been half as bad as I imagined, however I did prepare by eating only protein in the days before starting SS, so I think that certainly helped. At my first weigh in last tuesday, I was 14st 10lb, I am hoping to get down to my initial goal of 10st so have a way to go!

I have not felt hungry, but have wanted to eat for the sake of it at times! Yesterday was hard as my Sunday's usually revolve around food, but I got through it! I have to say, since starting SS I have had an abundance of energy, I have been sleeping so well at night and waking up feeling fresh before my alarm has even gone off! Amazing!

The most difficult part for me has been the water intake..... I have NEVER weed so much in my life!! I think half of my weightloss will be due to running up the stairs to the loo every 10 mins!

I am actually enjoying the shakes, choc mint is my absolute favourite, tried the apple and cinnamon porridge today, not too keen, tried giving half to my dog, but even he couldn't eat it!!

Anyway, it's my first WI tomorrow night :) really looking forward to it and hoping for a good loss to keep me motivated for next week, look forward to updating!

Oh, and anyone starting today, stick with it, the first week flys by :)

Good luck for tomorrow look forward to seeing how you do! Come find us on team ideal loads of us started recently on there and great support x

Thanks Matt x

Well day 14 today, can't believe how fast it has gone already and I can't believe a whole 2 weeks have gone by without me eating a single morsel!! I am proud of my will power, something I never thought I had :) This diet definitely gets easier the longer you do it.

I have my weigh in this evening and after losing 13lb the first week, I can't help feeling I may be a bit disheartened tonight if I only lose 4lb or something, I know I shouldn't but I do!! I keep trying to visualise bags of sugar!! Any loss is better than a gain I guess, need to keep telling myself that!

I can have bars after today too, does anyone know if these affect weight loss? Do they slow it down or not make any difference? Any advice gratefully received!

Well thanks for reading and I will update after weigh in tonight x

Hey - don't be disheartened. Week 2 is always a low one in every diet, what's important is that you are sticking to plan, if you're sticking to plan then you're losing fat and weight, regardless of how much. You will average out around a stone a month hun.

I like the bars, they only say one a day though as they are higher in carbs than the rest - you also need more water to make up for what you're not having in a shake x

Well, just got back from WI, and I have stayed the same :-(
I am gutted, I have been 100% on plan and can't understand why I've not dropped one incy pound.

Not gonna give up though, I know I can do this and will hopefully have a better result next time.
On the upside, I've lost 4 inches off of my waist and I got bars for the first time tonight :)
Just eating the peanut one and I don't want it to end!! X

It'll just be your body in shock from last week gun. Stay with it, your inch loss is great. If I offered you the choice of your ideal body or your ideal weight which would you choose? It's about more than the numbers? Remember that x
