Time to get serious!

Got on the scales this morning to quite a nice number, so popped it onto my excel spreadsheet, and had a browse of my stats which made me feel quite proud. Overall loss (since heaviest) 6st5.1lbs - WOWZER!! the even nicer bit was the "remaining weight to lose" 13.4lbs!!! less than a stone!!! I can't actually believe it. to put it into context it was 21 July 2010 that I weighed 16st11. 1 Jan 2013 I started cambridge weighing 14st7.5 and now we are at May 11 weighing 10st6.5. By 21st July 2013 My overall 3 year loss will stand at over 7 stone - that's almost a whole extra persons worth!

I have had a little browse through your diary and Inspirational Photo's and am totally inspired! You have done amazingly well! I started on the 22nd of April at 14st13lbs so similar weight to you and I am almost at the end of my first month, I would love to have lost as much as yourself in the remaining 3 months!

Sorry it took so long to get bk to you I was doing my final essay today started at 10.30 and just finished lol 3000 words in 12 hours including all research I would say that's a good days work lol

WOW 3000 words, I could never manage that in days - hense my not so great uni results, I was never an essay sorta girl! well done on that!

F**cking chillies is all I can say! so I was making the sauce at what, 2oclock? 8, yes, 8 oclock my fingertips literally start burning, like on fire! didn't occur to me those chillies were really hot ones, the plant didnt have a label on it when we got it!! I was in AGONY! so googled, bathed in lemon juice, baking soda, indigestion medicine, cold water, eventually just did my best to ignore it and go to sleep, thankfully gone by the time i woke up this morning! A six hour delay though?? I dread to think how firey the sauce is!!!

Went shopping with mum, during which time my water bottle opened itself all over my phone, so was in a complete panic - id only claimed a new one on my insurance a couple of months back so really didn't want to have to do that again! So a dash to m&s, a bag of rice, car heaters and a radiator, by the time I got home I was in no mood to be finishing off my ebaying, so will have to wait another 2 weeks! d'oh, what a mad day!

Good news was thought that top I wanted in primark that I went back for a couple of weeks back - found it in my size!! YAY! got another top and a maxi dress too! yay! and also bought some hand weights for my exercising!! yay! and an epilator. Ouch!

Yesterday was another SS+ day, think things will probabaly stay that way from now on. Although am running out of interesting food ideas already! boiled eggs and asparagus again yesterday - think i've gone off of boiled eggs, and asparagus!

Oh hun im so close to goal 5lbs ish... I say ish cause I have been weighing on my home scales for a few weeks as I have been on holiday and so has my consultant but I am so scared about moving up the steps and maintenance. However in saying that I feel ready for step 3 dizzy spells are becoming a lot more frequent and I think that might be my bodys way of telling me it needs more as this is what happened before moving on to step 2. Will stay on 2 until goal though.

Iv said it before but dont be hard on yourself for doing ss+ im sure that once you get closer to a healthy bmi your body will need more or your losses will slow cause it will go into panic mode and almost like starvation. Ive also heard that the longer you can stretch out the steps the better.

I experienced my first major dizzy on saturday after swimming (didnt have a shake beforehand) now I know why they tell you to be careful exercising as well.

I'm scared of maintenance too, having to choose my own food?! now that's just crazy! can I trust myself?! it's gonna be SOOO weird! so how long do you think it will be for goal for you 2-3 weeks? how much are you loosing every week lately? I had my first 2lb loss last week when I usually have at least 3, though I think I'm on track for 3lbs this week, just wandering how much longer I can keep this up before the 2s become more common! I REALLY want to be at target by June 11th - that's 4 weeks for 13ish lbs - I don't quite think I'm gonna make it before holiday (boooo)

It definitely gets harder thats for sure. I have an official weigh in tomorrow night so will see how accurate my home scales are lol. I am now averaging 2-2.5lbs a week but im petfectly happy with that as im on step 2 and now in the 9 stones eeeek never in my life thought id be saying that!! Yeah im hoping ill be at goal in the next 2-3 weeks, fingers crossed!! My problem is im just so keen to get back to eating normally so I can show myself I can eat and not go crazy. Tge steps just feel like there going to get in the way lol. But there very important and ill make sure I follow them. Not looking forward to the refuced milk on step 3 though, I drink tea like its going out of fashion. Even more so since starting CD, ive had to put myself on decaf as ut was starting to keep me up haha

Well I had to get it done. Not the kinda of person to dilly dally with Uni work because it would bore me. All handed in tho so I'm happy enough with that just counselling journal to finish up. I have a class on Saturday so will have a journal for that too and an exam nxt tues and Friday and I'm freeeee lol gonna get stuck into the house sorting things and binning the crap I don't need. Will be nice to go on hol knowing my house will be lovely to come home too.

Oh man! The chilli thing sounds bad! Ul not forget the label in future lol you may give rana the sauce lol have you updated ur blog since I read it?

If ss is working for you and you think ur still due a good loss for tues then stick with it huni. Ur doing so well please don't focus on what u see as negative when there is so much you have achieved that is positive! I know it's probably frustrating the life of you being so close but feeling so far. It may not be a bad thing if you don't get to goal before your holiday because when your bk you most likely will have a gain anyway. So when ur bk and perhaps a few lbs from goal you know when you reach it then there's nothing holding you back from continuing your maintenance. Look at it in a positive way ( not sure if that was helpful or you want to punch me now lol)

Keep going because very soon you will be where you want to be. :)

Oh yes can definitely agree with that! I lost 4st with CWP in 2008, fell pregnant and slowly put the weight back on. Im glad it was a slow process because it proves to me that it was my wrong choices and not just because I had had a baby. The weight did stay off for a little while, but its so easy to get comfortable! x

Not sure it even matters about meeting target before hols anyway now - price has gone up £150 since I wanted to book, she's now saying we should've booked before. And I refuse to pay any more than £699, she actually wanted to pay £799 before it went up again this afternoon. Just gotta wait and hope for the best now, not holding a great deal Of hope though! Hey ho, whatever will be will be!

Cottage cheese for dinner with spring onion, green pepper and cucumber! Went 35g over in my veg (gasp!) seriously 80g of cucumber Is bugger all, I don't feel guilty! But oh boy 225g cottage cheese is filling! I'm struggling to finish it!

Tried to start 30 day shred - managed 10minutes before I had to stop. Never mind, maybe next time I will manage 15 and so on.

10 mins is great! More than you did yesterday! So always a bonus. Keep at it and you will get better. You have already completed half of the workout on your 1st attempt so just continue at your own pace.

Yeah tell me about it. But actually I am better off putting my mental energy into this diet rather than worrying about stuff, which if I start blogging, generally that is the direction ill head at the moment, I'd rather focus on something else. Im a tremendous worrier if I get the opportunity!!

She's totally doubting everything she said now, I was major stressing about it which has now turned to despondency, now she's majorly stressing!! There's one the same 2 weeks later, so I'm cool with that as an alternative, not sure she is though. Hey, whatever. Everything happens for a reason, I'm a strong believer in that!

Cottage cheese is ok, I never ate it on SW when I could as there was always a nicer option, but I really enjoyed it since it was something different, and a massive portion, actually I took a photo.....

Wow really is a huge portion. Although before you started this diet you could probably have devoured it without a thought. It's great how our heads become reprogrammed to a certain extent regardless of what you may believe about your ss+ and bars for dessert lol

Aching after exercise is a bitter sweet feeling. At least you know it's working eh?

It's not a bad thing to be clued in on dieting lol much better than being ignorant to what we put in our mouths!

I HATE being a worrier, but there's something in my brain that won't stop it, I'm convinced it is hereditary - My Nana is AWFUL! Somehow I seem to think that if I can cover every eventuality in my head I will be better prepared in life, however as soon as I hit any obstacle that's when it begins, and it escalates, and that's it - I've turned into a mental case! So I then find myself in a situation where I worry profusely or buy my head in the ground, I really want to find a relaxed middle ground, since neither of those are healthy. Sometimes on the rare occasion I have managed to rationalise myself out of it, but not so much lately. I have to learn that I can't control or plan anything, life has major twists and turns, just go with it, I mean theres no way 5 years ago I would picture my life as it is now for sure!

SO back to the control thing, I guess it's why I love this diet so much since as long as I keep in control the results are pretty much guaranteed and (fairly) predictable!

On to this mornings good bits.... Still aching, hurts but in a good way!!! AND today was weigh in - 3.5lbs down WOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPP!!!! can you tell I'm happy? that kinda puts me back where I wanted to be - and that was 6 days SS+!! I deffo need it, so bye bye SS - I'm sorry we never got to properly say farewell!!

Also this morning realised I can do 4 sachets and milk on SS+, knew there was a milk option but didn't realise it was 4(!) sachets, so for those days where I cant be bothered with food I'm glad there is an option since I am kinda getting fed up with SS+ meals already, it's the protein that gets me - not only is it expensive, but boring too - give me a plate of veg on its own any day - oh I wonder if that is an option - I know it won't be ongoing but on SS+ maybe? I'll ask!

Need to make sure I am having my first shake pre-8am, I usually do since I have it when I get into work, but since I am working from home today I got up a bit later and found myself feeling weak in the shower, that's how i totally describe knowing you should eat something, you just feel a bit weak, if you leave it it turns to dizzy, if you leave that - well I should imagine it turns into unconscious on the floor - I haven't done that neither do I recommend it - Just need to keep tuned into my body!

I bought a blue 1 litre sports bottle in asda for £1 and that bottle is my life lol I know as long as its filled and emptied 3 times a day then I've done what needs done lol I also use water flavourings about 1/2 tsp per bottle. Yes more than recommended but I couldn't do it without it unless it was shop bought water and I don't fancy wasting money on that.

Its funny, after my recent need for regular packs, i didnt have lunch until almost 2 oclock, which is mad considering i had my first pack just after 8! Had Tofu, cut up into little bits with pak choi, spring onion, green chilli and musrooms with a touch of five spice and soy sauce (yeah i know the soy sauce isn't allowed, it was a splash!) it was LOVELY!! I can't wait to have it again!! Ill post a pic in a sec!

Some days are fine with water, others not so much, but like you i always keep a 1l nearby (until it drowns my phone that is, i left that in the john lewis toilets out of protest!!), Yesterday i easily did over 3l, today ive barely had 1/2L! I've never tried the flavourings, but even when I'm not on this I mainly just drink water anyway, unless its a cocktail of course!
