Tipperary will rock 2025

Just back from an 8k walk and feeling tired but refreshed also. Though it wasn't a full on 8k as I did stop halfway. We live near a lake and if I walk to the lake and back it is an 8k walk, but much further than 5k and I need to stop for a pee. So if I go to the lake I can stop in the café, the pub or the yacht club depending on the time. My normal routine is walk to the yacht club, use the bathroom, walk along the lake through the yacht club, let the dog off in the field for a run and then come home. I had my smoothie for breakfast and wasn't in the humour for more then so decided walk to the lake with the dog and stop in the café for something to eat, wander through the yacht club and come home. Well part of that went to plan, I did get to the lake, I did go to the café and had a BLT (no butter, no mayonnaise, no dressing and the dog ate the rind) but couldn't get into the yacht club as the back gate was manned by a lone Gardaí. The front gate has a squad car and the lake had a Gardaí boat. Assuming someone had gone missing on the lake I was told that no, a visitor was arriving. Had my sandwich, left the café owner with the dog while I used his bathroom and headed home thinking I would meet a cavalcade on the road. Nope, a helicopter landed....it was the Duke of Kent come to visit...I don't know why. It was all very low key (things are here except when the USA get involved and they feel the need to close down the country) with the local school playing music to great him. Anyway it meant that my walk was 100m short of my planned 8k and I had to walk past my front gate and back again to meet my target and get the voice on my Samsung app to play the winning music (yep, its the little things that keep me going).

Having a rest and will think about lunch. I have my app set to a water target of 3 litres each day but I am including my herbal tea in that. Usually I put the teabag in and just keep filling it up again and get lots of liquids that way....and it's normally only luke warm. I also got a new water filter bottle so brought that with me. When I find the old one I will leave one in the fridge and one in my bag. Our tap water is perfect to drink it just doesn't always taste nice and the filter bottle sorts that out for me.

Found you! I will read later on the train - I have been on Minis since 12:15 and its now 2:45! Not exactly employee of the year

Hi....I know, it can be so time consuming...but better consuming time than calories.

Well yesterday turned out to be a busy day and it was almost 11pm by the time I have dinner.
After my walk and lunch (at 3pm) I had to get ready for the evening, I had a cookery class at 5pm, knitting group open night at 6.30pm, show committee meeting at 8pm and it was also my baby's birthday. I had to stop at the library to leave out a knitting display then shop for the cookery class and buy something as a present. Went to cookery class, back to library for knitting display and then to committee meeting. I was being very good and refused the biscuits and soft drinks but then the chairman arrived with Cornettos for everyone so had one of them. We finished early just before 9pm so decided I had time for a quick swim before I went home and did 12 lengths swimming and 18 jogging. I know I have said it before but the jogging is much more intense than the swim and I can now feel it on my upper arms. It was 10.30pm when I arrived home, at exactly the same time as darling husband. Had a quick dinner and was asleep by 11.45pm.

Today the plan was to drop car back to garage to have a part fitted and walk back the 10k along the river. But legs and arms feel like they had enough yesterday so will see after breakfast.

Good news though, I weighed myself and 600g down on yesterday so the end of May sees me with a total loss of 100g for the month.
Two days with no wine, not much I know but no more occasions or parties coming up so it should be easier to stay on track.
I have definite work every Saturday and Sunday now at the country house and will see this weekend about a contract for during the week. It seems I have work until end November anyway but I sent an email yesterday to say we have 3 weeks away planned in September, not an ideal start but I cant change the date of my wedding anniversary. Checking dates of ferries today and then I need to start saving. I have enough casual summer clothes but would like a new short dress, a fancy top and sparkly sandals which I will buy if I reach 70kg.

Enjoy your day all.

Well tired or not I did walk home from town, 9.8km this time...I took one section on the road. I am very tired now and planned on vegging out for the rest of the day and evening (darling husband away tonight) but I got a call to go into work tonight. I am very sore and tired but it will be only 3 hours at the most and it will save me from Netflix and wine

Hey Tipperary - I am all caught up - you have had some couple of months there my friend! Poor you being in hospital for so long and all your furbaby problems too! And the Duke of Kent! How very ladidah!

Just out of curiosity, did you Acupuncturist tell you why you shouldn't eat raw veg? Is that just you for a specific reason or all of us in general? Only so many people spout on about the benefits of raw veg - I just wondered.

xx

She said my liver energy and kidney energy is quite low and cold food or raw foods can stress them more. No, its not for everyone but my sister is the same.

Oh how interesting. It's amazing how different our bodies are isn't it?

Replied very quickly last night, to be honest I cant totally remember the ins and outs of what she said but it had something to do with energy levels and my kidneys and fat ankles. There are times that without physically knowing it I get very tired and the first symptom isn't tiredness but I get very cold and shake. She said raw food or chilled foods make this worse and I should limit them, that I need warm foods to keep my energy stable. Not really sure but it works for me.

So it is a new month and I weighed in this morning at 73.7kg which is half a kilo down on yesterday. I know that is possibly not a true value but I am going to officially record that as my weight and will weigh in again next Friday rather than tomorrow. I am under 74kg which was a mini goal for me, it is the weight that it is physically noticeable on me that I have lost weight. The size when I am now a size 12 trousers rather than a 14.
I was quite good with food yesterday, meals were all at funny times and I got home from work at 10.30pm and had a slice of brown soda bread with some cottage cheese and a slice of ham. To be honest I possibly didn't quite need it but I would have woken up starving this morning without it. I also had half a glass of white wine, just enough to wind down from work and juts enough to satisfy me after selling lovely wines all night long to guests.

Plan for today is take the car back to the garage and browse around town for an hour or two. Daughter 1 has suggested we have breakfast in town so will just have my smoothie here and do that. I have a cookery class this evening and may have a swim after that but wont walk today.

Well done on your mini goal Tipp! That's great, but I find the best goal is getting into a size lower in your clothes, what a feeling of accomplishment eh? All that exercising and healthy eating really does pay off. I need to get my activity levels up like you - I used to be so good at that.

Have a good day!

Well eating out a big breakfast now. A right on fry up. Was planning on poached eggs but went for the whole lot and according to new app full of calories. Just have to swim more this evening.

I do love a fry up. I was reading one of the WeMITT girls recipe thread sticky and she showed how to prep and freeze fry ups in little containers! I am so going to do this!!!

Have a good day Tipps x

Nope it was a slow day for me. Went to town with daughter and baby to have something done on car. We planned on browsing the shops while waiting for the car but it was raining heavily so we went to eat instead. I don't actually like a fry up at all but just felt like it. It ended up being lunch as well so wasn't feeling to bad about it. Had a cookery class then in the evening and got home at 10pm. Darling husband arrived home too and he had been away for a few days....well that led me (and him) down the path of too much wine and cheese and crackers...gorey details in my diary.

Well it's feeding time here and always a strange adventure.
I'm having my green smoothie and the spirulana stains my lips green so darling husband is laughing at me.
The duck is eating the cat food.
The hens are eating the compost pile.
The hedgehog is eating the hen food.
One cat is eating dog food and one is eating the ducks bread.
The kittens are drinking water from a puddle and have just been wormed so one has white worming stuff all over her face.
The dog took a chicken bone from the bin.

All seem happy.

So I have just realised that I have lost 6.8k which is just over a stone...good news.

It is a busy weekend at work and I should finally find out if I am been taken on full time and in what capacity...so fingers crossed I have good news tomorrow.

I've just been made a Silver Member :)
