To actifry or not to actifry.....?

Now there's an idea!

Exactly what I did

LOL you may be doing them wrong then - they taste much superior than SW-style oven chips - not just mine, but I took the Actifry to group and without exception every single person said chips and roasties were far superior than anything SW-style they'd ever done.

Of course it's a roasting machine that stirs, or a air-fryer or dry fryer. Hence the point (and patent). It takes up to 40 minutes (for a full load) because they are not merely dropped in 3l of oil, but coated in 14ml or less.

I think you should pass it on to Lucky7 who would love it rather than it sit in a cupboard unused:(

lol!! I see am am the only one that thinks that way and after the huge response on here, I think I might ebay mine. I still have original packaging and reciepts - as you say - better than stuffed in a cupboard!! x

Before you do, try experimenting. Use decent floury potatoes like Maris Pipers, dry them like Jaylou suggests and try some other recipes in it. You aren't the first person to not initially get on with it, I own one because my mum didn't get on with it and passed it on but she didn't know any of this stuff first. If you still aren't happy with it then ebay it but it would be a shame to do so without really testing it out. I don't know about you but my oven takes about 20-25 minutes to heat up to temp anyway, which means I actually use it for longer than I would the actifry which starts cooking straight away.
