Twinkle's Journey

It's only a curry, there'll be loads of them when you finish the diet - I bet you've happily resisted loads of nicer things than that.

That's been my thinking :) x

Just after my earlier post, I made myself a shepherd's pie and went off to the car to get away from the curry. I have done a bit of logical thinking and realised that any temptations can be minimised if I haven't had all 3 packs before those temptations. So, I've decided that if I feel like this again, the answer is to grab a pack, even if it's earlier than usual. I've also had a flask of bouillon with me in the car tonight, to help me through my struggle.
I don't know if this makes any sense at all, but I feel as if my body is pushing me to have my meal packs at sensible times of the day, which is great but obviously my working hours are when I tend to need my packs the most.

I am now eating spag bol and I'm pleased to say that I've made it through another TS day. I'll be pleased when this week is over.

Thank you for all your support, it's always appreciated but even more so during this difficult week xx

So well done Twinkle on getting through today and resisting the curry - that was great - great planning also in the pack and bouillon - you are doing so well - in the 40s almost you are amazing keep up the great work x

Absolutely amazing Twinkle!

Well done!

Thanks again for all your support :) xx

Here I am at day 40 and feeling alot better than I did last night. It just shows that despite getting so far on a tfr journey, you can still feel very weak at times. I need to keep focused on my wedding day as that was the main reason I started Exante.

I didn't get any house sorting done yesterday as we had to get a few other things done that cropped up. I have got to get as much done today as I can, as I have my house inspection tomorrow. If all goes well, we may even be moving earlier than we'd planned, which I'm hoping will happen as I hate my home looking bare.

The plan for the day is to keep busy with house sorting and if I start to feel weak then I'll be reaching for a food pack. Just 3 more sleeps until weigh in and I want the results to be good, as I want to reach that half way mark.

Have a good day everyone xx

Twinkle, you are living up to your name, you are a total star!!

I have crumbled before at challenges half as difficult so a big well done! I'm determined to keep you in mind next time I'm confronted with something. Also, if you find yourself totally desperate and near slipping up, a fourth pack of Exante would always be a possibility. I have found for myself from many many slip ups that low carb foods can save the day but if you're not in the right frame of mind, they do something to you. It's purely psychological but actually eating normal food again after a long time of abstinence can be the crack in the dam that blows it open. I have been there a dozen times. And I can see looking back that a few (not all!) of those slip ups could have been avoided if I had perhaps allowed myself a fourth pack or even just half, to calm the cravings and give them something to do.
So looking forward to hearing about your next weigh in.

Thank you for your post Bee. You're right in everything you've said and I know myself where one small blip can lead to, which is why I think I keep fighting so hard against my cravings. I'm determined not to blow this but to put things in place for when I do struggle, just so I don't blow it and having an extra pack/half pack isn't a bad idea either x

Soooo, I phoned my Mum to ask her if she wanted lunch when she visits on Sunday and she spent a whole 20 mins having a right go at me about moving. Happy mood now gone! I understood everything she was saying but at the same time it would be nice if she could just support me but obviously it's not going to happen.

I think this week is a total write off and yet somehow I've struggled but managed to stay 100% and for that I am really proud of myself.

I've had enough negativity for 1 wk and went to find something positive :)

I've just got out 3 pairs of jeans and a pair of work trousers that haven't seen the light of day for the last 2 yrs. It has left me a bit confused but I'm going to say I'm now in size 14's. My work trousers are 14 and a perfect fit. A pair of jeans are a 14 and were too small BUT the other jeans were 12 and 16 and I fit into both of them lol, so like I say, I'm going to go with size 14 :) the only downfall is that the 14 jeans were the ones I really wanted to get into as I only ever wore them 2 or 3 times, so that is my goal, to get into them :) xx

Twinkle, you're a legend! :D

I think yesterday was 'one of those day' 'cos I was starving last night and nearly let the pizza demon into my head

...but I didn't, and you didn't let the curry win either!!!!

This diet is TOUGH - but it works!

Together we can crack this :)

The support here is just so great - I know I would have caved last night if I hadn't just kept on reading diaries and posting. I was not going to let myself or Team Exante down! :D

Your attitude is exactly what we all need. Well done on fobbing off the pizza demon ;-) it's all the no's we say that make such a difference. I hope you're having a good day today x

Twinkle, well done for not giving in to temptation, you are so strong and you can do this no matter what the week throws at you, in fact you can let the bad things spur you on to be even stronger!

How are things today twinkle?
Have the cravings been easier?

Are you doing food week next week?

It's been a bit of a crap day hun. Food cravings aren't too bad but hungry at the moment. I need a pack but haven't got time :-(

The plan is to do a food week starting on Sunday. I will be opting for food rather than milk, as my mum is over for lunch on Sunday anyway but I'm going to plan ahead what I'm having so I hopefully stay in ketosis. How's your day going?xx
