Wales Daily Diary...

I'm another fan of linseeds! I've been eating linseeds all my life as my Dad always put linseeds in his breads and in porridge. I buy the ready milled linseeds at H & B as the body can then absorb the good fats and vitamins better. I put it in everything - porridge, stews, bolognese - you name it :D

You sound like you are doing well - keep it up!

Sainsbury's also often sell it btw. I think it's in the health food section and is a bit cheaper than H&B. I checked :)

Oooh I didn't realise H&B discounted that from time to time. Would work out cheaper. A point to you :)

I think I picked mine up at Sainsburys, but I can't for the life of me remember, it was only at the weekend. My brain is mush.

Today was hectic and only had half banana and apple over lunchtime as I was driving for most of the day and the rest was in a presentation. So came home and had soup and two pittas, then another pitta and then a bowl of special k. Hmm, was in on my own so just carried on. Still it was late enough to consider as tea, even though I had also put a spud in the oven for a jacket potato. Will keep that and try and use up tomorrow.

Am travelling and another presentation tomorrow but this is at another work site so there is a canteen so will aim to get lunch on time to keep on straight and narrow.

Plus point today was I got into a dress I was wearing a couple of weeks ago but lately was a little tight to wear comfortably. Felt much better today, but still could feel looser. I miss having clothes feel loose from the old CD days. Now they just fit, and feel a tight when bloated. I don't miss spending all that money on new clothes but it would be nice to shrink out of something else - he he.

Mind you I think those 3 pitta this evening mean I wouldn't necessarily fit in the dress tomorrow...

Morning weight 12.7, which proves eat better eat less works for me!

Hmm, I think I should know that!

Have a great day all x

Eat better eat less sounds good to me! Those pesky pitta - I am still amazed they can possibly be 145 cals for a bit of flat, brown cardboard... even so, I can't do without them! And you are right, one doesn't seem to be enough! Have a fab day...

Know exactly how you feel. xx:)

What has been funny over the past two days is three people have asked if I have lost more weight since they last saw me. And I only saw them about a month ago. Strange as I have put on around half a stone, I also think my face has filled a bit - I have either lost the gaunt CD look or I have a bit of carb face. So am pleased with those comments...

Dinner was yummy quorn sausages with the cheese & onion in, with a jacket potato and lettuce and some coleslaw.

Resisted wine & choc this evening in the supermarket, and as just said on Bess's thread, I don't know why this week I can just walk away whereas last week I would've ripped the packet off there and then in the shop! Wrong time of the month to be hormonal eating, although think the acu and herbs are kicking in as having strong cycle symptoms so perhaps I am a little mixed up?

Have driven about 500 miles over the last two days so am pretty pooped this evening. Looking forward to a relatively early night and a normal timed start in the morning - hurrah.

Have a good evening all x

Hi Wales

Must be nice to have those comments.
Can I ask what you mean by carb face? Not trying to be picky at all, but my CDC said something about when you finish the diet your shape changes again and it's just got me wondering.

Your dinner sounds v yummy!!
Not surprised you are shattered after all that driving - hope you manage a good nights sleep and rest.

xx

Carb face is something I heard on a TV programme (but was by a crazy LA diet woman) so obv I jumped on that as I have a very round face but on CD my cheekbones appeared. My face has filled out since I stopped CD so I call it carb face - whether it is linked or not I know my face has puffed up a little lately!!!

My shape has changed since I finished CD - I feel rounder and fuller and a little softer - if that makes sense. My boobs are fuller although not that much bigger - they just don't seem that empty (as I did suffer a lot with that). Plus my tummy and bum seem fuller not particularly that much bigger. And def my face is different!!

Know what you mean Wales, I noticed something similar. Have a great day and take it easy if you can!

Wow Wales you have been driving lots.. you must be worn out!
Enjoy the compliments hon, I used to struggle with them at first but now Im starting to accept them..... instead of I still have this much to go!
Have a good day xx

Is this the 'glycogen bounce' then? I think I noticed something similar too.

12.10 this morning but know my portions were too big yesterday so there is the probable reason. Why is it that there can be a pack of peanut m&ms in the fridge and I don't even blink. If I were that desparate for chocolate I would eat them and put up with the nut, but I don't. Point for thought for today.

Will make sure my soup for lunch is defrosted before lunchtime so that I can have it rather than tuna salad from the canteen - would be sensible!

Busy day at work today, but the it is then the weekend - yippee. So want a lie in tomorrow but something in my brain wakes me up on a weekend and makes me get out of bed - hmm. Need to retrain that part of my brain as well.

Happy friday everyone x

Have a great day and get that lie-in tomorrow! Know what you mean about the M&Ms, maybe I should have some pinned to the wall as a test of whether I am hungry or just greedy!

Hey hon........
Sounds like your doing good and well done for resisting those m&ms .. I think now the cold weather has hit having soup is the way forward.. I might go and get some vegetables and make a vegetable soup............
Have a good day hon and hope you managed to have a lie in, I was up at 5am but I did have a really early night xxx

12.9 this morning, even though not a great day yesterday. Food choices were ok but I had my first Thorntons choc since I started CD (which was gorg) plus a few Cadbury Heroes - but pleased as I stopped at 5 rather than what seemed like 50 Quality Street last week. I was also bought a brandy cream mince pie with icing - which was so sweet but I ate, but really didn't want or need. Need to find the words - No Thanks - again in my vocab.

Decided this morning to log back in to my weighlossresource account and start recording everything again, also got my scales out which had been "tidied away" in a kitchen drawer.

So breakfast - porridge, bananna, linseed and cinamon - 273 kals

The linseeds are 37 kcals - think they are doing some good, they need to be for almost 40 kcals.

Lunch - tuna salad
Dinner - homemade fish pie

Plan for a lie in has gone, was up to get OH off to work and have just stayed up. Think will laze on laptop until 8, then get some washing in the machine, then start some housework. My experiment of not buying anything this month is going well - no clothes, shoes, make up etc has been bought either from the high street or on line. I have also avoided the food court at M&S. So unsure what I am going to do this afternoon - it feels a little like the start of CD when you have so much more time on your hands!!

Hope everyone has a good weekend, just opened the curtains and it is dry and there is light in the sky so not completely cloudy - might walk into town along the river - it is about 3 miles each way, plus will limit the weight of anything I buy!

xxx

Sounds like a great day... envious! Hope it stays dry and bright and that you have a good time in town...
