We can walk 100 miles

2 more done - 34 miles to go. Mind you it was our dance schools show this weekend & I think I did 100 miles running up & down to to the stage with the kids - didn't sit down for 3 days!

Well done Angelajane , not far to go.

It's been a while wiv having to stop for a while due to knee injury, but before I hurt knee I walked 6 mile every evening after work so that would of been quicker,

Oh that's not good - hope you're back to normal now.
We took the kids on a 13 mile cycle ride today around Bewel Water in Kent today - think we are more tired than them - got rather a sore rear now!

Wow good work everyone :) am I ok to jump in on this late??

Going to do my first walk tomorrow if the weather is nice, will probably do 2-3 miles. There's a 4 mile route around my local area that I might tackle on the weekend to try it out.

Woohoo!!!

on a day off it will be quite easy but when I'm at work its impossible. I work very long shifts in care so walking to work isn't an option with 2 days worth of food/clothes/bed sheets etc plus the normal house I work in is over an hour away.

Have got a pedometer need to carry it with me to see how far I walk on a day but I don't have pockets/bag so might be difficult :)

Hi Mandlegrot, welcome aboard, there is no magic to this, just walk and record the mileage. This just helps to keep a record for yourself, it almost becomes an incentive to keep it up. Remember that we are all different, have different responsibilities, goals and targets, our own personal goals. Set your own target, you may want to walk 20 miles, but post it on here, its only a title of the thread now. I add cycling to to my walking now, but still postal update on here because this is where it all started and there's still a few of us walking. If there is any competition it's between you and the Mandlegrot the doesn't walk, see which one feels better.

Doesn't your pedometer clip onto your clothing? Sounds like measuring your walking at work would be encouraging, could be time to invest in a new pedometer?

All the best

4 miles after work - 11 miles to reach 100 miles. I'm on holiday next Wednesday so have set myself a little mission to do the 100 by then! Watch this space .....
