One of the kids last day today and there's lots and lots of choc around so I had a tiny bit and pointed it as 4pp just to be safe
I'm raging here! I ordered presents online for my flower girl and pageboy it arrived today and I was at work so the postman dropped it into Graham's mams! Graham text there and said his mam had opened the package and said the items were lovely! How dare she open something that's not hers I'm so mad

I'd be raging too - how dare she, my Kim wouldn't even dare let alone m-i-l. I hope yo e asked graham to have a 'diplomatic' word. Also it's not fair because I guess you wanted to see it all first & get the excitement of it....d'ya know what you need.....a mcbulmers!

I had written a big long post there and then had a melt down and started crying out of no where like a complete mentaler and when I looked at the computer again it had shut down and everything I had written had gone:sigh:

Anyway I was just saying how mad I was with herself for opening the parcels and I told graham how I felt. he said it to his mam and she said she had opened it by accident and taught it was for her but if that was true why the mchell did she continue to open the second parcel. I would of loved if it hada been something we bought her as a gift and she ruined her surprise by opening it. I know that's mc*****y of me but that's how I feel.

Staff meeting went on for over an hour and all we ended up talking about was where we were going on our Christmas party lol. We all agreed on Liverpool whoopwhoop I love Liverpool and as im an everton fan I might go to a match while im over there (that's if they are playing) we are going to book it on Friday

I had yellowfin and pasta with homemade tomato sauce and salad 8pp

I am having a curly wurly now and have another 3pp left

Oh no poor you It's probably the stress of it all. I don't think you realise whilst you're doing it just how much wedding prep wears you out, stresses you & frustrates you....usually because of family or friends. Hope the curly wurly has cheered you up a bit

Really sorry that she did it and it would definitely serve her right if it had been a surprise for her.
I remember the year I got the twilight books for Christmas (this was before they got massive, and I actually couldn't wait to read them so read them all before I even officially got them).
In our family, we open presents mum & dad buy us (well give us the money to buy presents with) and then go round to grandma and grandad's and open the presents we've bought ourselves from them.
So this one year, I knew I was getting the twilight books from the grand rents and somehow the Santa sacks got mixed up and I had my sister's and she had mine.
And she opened my twilight books present.
It was the one present I was eager to open, and I didn't get to =(
Not quite the same situation, but I understand your frustration


Cool that you're going to Liverpool for Christmas do.
Although that's quite a trek.
Most places of work go to the pub down the road.
You lot go to a different country! A different island even! Haha
Is that normal for your place to choose somewhere really far away?
How long will you be in Liverpool for?

Yea I duno I was really looking forward to seeing them as I bought them personalised books his one is batman and hers is beauty and the beast. I had the books made with their names in the story and age, where they live, a few family members so they really ment something to me and I put a lot of effort into them and I was heartbroken when I found out someone else had looked at them before me :cry:

We usually do something different. Never went outa the country before though. our previous parties have been on party bus, got a limo one year into Dublin, went to see east 17 last year and stayed over night ,things like that. our job is so stressful and full on that we like to go all out at Christmas so this year we decided on Liverpool. We are going on Friday night til sunday cant wait for it now. I love in England when you order vod and coke , the coke comes outa a tap cuz here ya have to buy a little bottle of coke with the vod and works out about 6euro per drink which is expensive if ya drink them as fast as I do lol

Yea true! As much as I'm enjoying the wedding preps I just want my life back at this stage! To be honest we are going to a wedding on Saturday and I can't help but feel jel of them cuz when they wake up in sun morning they won't have to think about wedding stuff again!

No ya have to buy the little glass bottles of coke! It works out as €4.50 for the vod and €1.50 for coke in most places it's crazy!
I get paid by the month so I'm getting paid tomorrow and then I only have one more pay day how scary! Can't believe it

Verrrrry bad of your mother in law to open your parcels. I wonder if she is feeling left out - apparently mums do get like that when their little boys are getting married - and it was a way of involving herself. It still doesn't excuse her doing it though. The presents sound absolutely fantastic - what a lovely idea. I was a bridesmaid loads of times for my large family of brothers sisters and cousins, but don't have any of the presents I was given as I didn't keep them - passed them into younger family members - things like child sized bracelets etc. Something like that is really something you would keep for ever. When you're younger it is exciting because you are in the story yourself, and then as you get older you would realise the thought that went into it to make it personal and special. Yah-boo to the mother in law for opening them. You chose them though, with love and care, - that's what counts. xx
