Week 58 / Maintenance 9 - FatFairNForty(ish)'s Weekly Weigh In

As I thought, but not as bad as I feared. A gain of 1.2lbs... so.. that will be gone by Wednesday!

Back to SSing 100% (this is the plan!) as of midnight tonight - and that's ok as not had 'owt since 7.30pm lol and not wanting anything either.

Struggled this week and weekend but hopefully now, thanks to a lovely long chat with Ailsa, back on the straight and narrow after my first major wobble in almost 9 months so I don't think it's too horrific!

Will keep you posted! Off to change my ticker now.. (honesty is very important in this journey) :)

Good attitude.
Just a tiny nudge upwards in the earthbound plummet...hardly worth mentioning...as long as you get your head back on for next week.

Thanks Jane

Head back on and managed today no problem despite some emotional upheaval so a very good sign of things to come methinks :D

Still have my dogged determination.. .lol.. a piffling little 1.2lbs can't throw this gal off kilter!! ;)

Famous last words eh?

Weigh in is this afternoon at 2.15pm will see if any movement and in which direction! Am hoping for a loss of some description... however, just realised that TOTM is due in a few days so THAT would explain the unprecedented craving for something sweet!!!!! Will update when back from weigh in.

Thanks Shaza

More of a limp to the finishing line at the moment but perhaps might break into a jog this week (fingers crossed!)

A miniscule loss of 0.1lbs BUT it does take me a grand total of

150lbs lost!!

So, although pi$$ poor really, am trying to see the positive :D

AAM this week in the hope that it curbs my desperate urge to eat anything and everything in sight.. lol.. although I have to say, I think it will work as I will have a meal to look forward to each day :)

Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the start of a whole new dieting week :) Once more into the breach dear friends......

Sorry about the result Jennie.
I know you'd have like to run through the tape with a -4lb or similar, but 150 is still 150! which is a massive achievement by anyones standards.
Cripes!just realised....that's more than I weigh today!
you have lost ME!!! & I'm not small! smaller yes, small NO!

So well done Well done Well done

thanks Jane

to be honest, having eaten what I did last week I am glad to have lost anything at all :D

Loving my AAM this week already - makes a big difference to know I can eat something... all psychological of course, but hey ho. lol

I think my next 'goal' will be to get to the 11stone lost mark. That would be good and ever closer to the BMI that I need to reach.. have to say though.. am wondering if I will continue even once I get to that... hmm.. not sure.. I do know that I would settle for being on AAM for a long time though! :)

you're begining to sound as if you & SSare running out of road.
Do yuo think this is the case? Or perhaps another break before the final push?
Actually I can't rememeber what BMI you've opted for as a target. I know it'll be over 25 because of the artifact of your extra skin.

Hi Jen

Well a little loss is alot better than a little gain

You have come so far and I cant wait to see you in Sept, you look amazing and this week try to get your mind back to that very first day you stepped on the CDC scales and you will be fine. Dont forget to be kind to yourself Jen you have done brilliantly !!!!!

Sending you a positive vibe for your last bit of weight !!!!

Come on you can do it !!!!

I think so ... I think my new best friend will be AAM :)

Or perhaps another break before the final push?

Nope - no breaks, they are too hard to recover from. This is still a one-hit-sheer-grit road!

Actually I can't rememeber what BMI you've opted for as a target.

It's 27 now (as per hospital demands) but I know that when the skin is gone it will be a hell of a lot lower in the end!

I know it'll be over 25 because of the artifact of your extra skin.

I hate BMI as a measure - I really think it isn't an accurate form of indicating a person's health/size etc. For example - many athletes have enormously high BMIs but aren't obese or unfit!

I just have to keep going to the bitter end now and then I SO want to start maintenance.. I'm not naive enough to think it will be an easy ride - I know it won't be... but it won't be SSing any more and I want to eat real food now.

AAM has worked well this week thus far, although it is early days and the weekend is looking. That said, I don't see any reason why I can't stick to it 100% this weekend so roll on Monday when I shall poisitively bound onto those scales and hopefully hit that 11 stone off mark (although it's asking a lot - 4lbs I think). I would be really happy though and feel I was making progress to get to the point they want me at.

Getting into the leathers really helped me last night. I'm going to wear them around the house tomorrow evening.. lol..

Darn tootin! :D and unexpected too...

You have come so far and I cant wait to see you in Sept,
likewise, your photos are incredible, it's going to be a real shock to see you! (in a VERY positive way!!) ....

this week try to get your mind back to that very first day you stepped on the CDC scales and you will be fine.

Thank you, that's excellent advice.

Dont forget to be kind to yourself Jen you have done brilliantly !!!!! aww, thanks Shaza...

Shaza

You know what, your post made me well up. Thank you SO much for encouraging me. This last bit is, I think, going to be a real battle of wills... me vs me! (if you understand)...

I want this SO much though and hopefully, by September, I will have got there and will be able to actually be on the first stage of maintenance. I really hope so. Regardless, I shall look forward to seeing everyone again, catching up on all the news and dancing me feet off! (LOVE dancing!!!)

Thanks again Shaza... you're doing so superbly, come September we will both be different yet again! :D

Right so AAM-wearing bike leathers it is.

I found that I couldn't maintain a separation between AAM & 790 ,& the 2 sort of merged.
It's much more fun than Ssing but not as secure.
hope it goes fine!

Hiya Jane

You have been (and long may it continue!) a constant source of help to me since you joined... I don't know about 790 properly as not looked at it because I think it would be very tempting, lol and, that is something to look forward to when I finally get to target.

I hear what you're saying about AAM etc not being as secure as SSing... I know the losses are likely to really slow down, and, in all honesty, perhaps that might pi$$ me off enough to SS again!! I dunno. It's a real, um, stepping off the boat and onto the water, kind of thing at the moment. I'll see what this week yeilds in the way of loss and where I'm at up top in the leetle grey cells too!

No point in predicting or second guessing really... although I am completely gifted and incredibly well practised, at both (LMAO)

I guess it's all yet another waiting game... lordy be, just HOW patient does one have to be!! Answer: VERY!!

I jumped the queue when they were handing out patience! :giggle:

Another good day yesterday with my AAM, and no temptation to 'cheat' which HAS to be a VERY positive step in the right direction.

Am beginning to wonder if this is just a bit of a cobbled street... know what I mean?:confused:

If you can really stick with AAM then in theory your losses will be only a bit less than SSing because you'll still be firmly in ketosis. my problem was wanting to widen the menu a bit. Things like home grown carrots may be heaven on a plate but their sugar content shows on the stix the next morning. (the fact that carrots arn't in the 790 plan either is something i shall gloss over)

couldn't agree more, & this is the joy of CD; if you dip your toe in & find you sink up to the knee then just pull it back out again & do SS until you're ready to try again.

More of a cobbled swamp with areas of quicksand ( not that that should put you off)
The important thing is that WE buck the statistics & don't regain it all. OK?

Thats the spirit Jen

By the way love your ne avaitor pic ~ do I spot you in cropped jeans

Look at you all slim and fashion queen Tee Hee

Speak soon

Shar

lol, I call them long shorts... lol... I fell in love with them and when I wore them home Zoe (my younger daughter) said to me (somewhat incredulously it has to be said!!).. "did YOU choose them??? They're lovely!!" cheeky mare... lol

I love wearing them, they hide ALL my nasty saggy bits and come down below my flappy saggy knees.. and best of all, they're a size 14! :D :D :D They are definitely my current absolute favourite piece of clothing, especially love wearing them with that top as it is long over the belly too :)

You look brilliant ~ its funny when you loose weight you have to look again at what might suit you now, and try things on and you never know

Well done on being size 14 I just cant wait to be that ~ its normal ( I am sure you know what mean by that !!!)

My daughter in law has lost weight on CD and gave me 3 pairs of size 16 petite jeans from next ~ needless to say I had a real giggle trying them on. Up to my hips and no more and no comment about the big fat jelly belly hanging out

I love all the smocky tops that are around at the moment ~ i can easily get into a 16 now but if I was to try and get into a 16 blouse ~ well theres a different story. I am wearing long smocky tops ~ lots of bright colours and funnily for me lots of green (used to hate green now love it !!)over black trousers or crops. Have got 2 jeans one crops and one long but not really wearing them yet as they feel uncomfortable. I suppose years of wearing elastic waists does that to you !!!

I am off to bed as I am starting to sound like trinny and suzanne with my fashion tips

Well done you ~ see you later
