what a brilliant day !!!

I have loved today. It has been busy, varied and interesting but then I do not ask for or expect too much from life.

It started with making souper soup most defo super speed and SW friendly then a shopping trip to buy the old witches weekly shop plus some stuff for us. We bumped into so many old friends and had a good crack with them..................made me feel so good.

The house is sparkling, I have organised advertising for the next antiques fair, Paul has redesigned the road signs for the venue.

We have eaten lovely SW food and watched some good T.V.

We have laughed so much at the antics of one of our Great Danes who was too scared to walk past 2 of our tiny dogs............such a wuss.

I have booked a flight to the U.K. for the end of this month for an amazing 65€ return and it is half term.

This might all sound normal and boring to any high flyer's around the forum but I am so happy and so grateful for so much less these days and I say thank you for all I have and enjoy.

What floats your boat on a daily basis ????

Waking up alive and healthy beside a man who is my best friend as well as my husband.
Ringing my two sons in the morning to make sure everything is ok with them. Then the rest of the day is mine.:)

Fantastic !!!! My sentiments exactly.

We have so much to be thankful for and after bumping into a young friend I haven't seen for a couple of years and learning that her lovely, bubbly husband had committed suicide because of the dire financial situation here, he had no work and the bank were about to repossess their home.

On a lighter note, it is a glorious morning here, a real feel good day. I am going to spend the morning sweeping leaves and thanking my lucky stars I can do it.

Have the best day you can friends.

Dropping my gorgeous son off at school on reading book day and ending up reading a story to 4 children as they all wanted to come and sit with me.

Also going to WI today and won't know what I weigh and feeling great about that (I've been stressing way too much lately about exactly what the scales say and it really doesn't matter as long as I'm around the weight I am now a few lbs mean nothing) Also the last day of week one of my running programme, can't wait.

What a lovely positive post !!!

You know life is very often what we make it !! I know there are lots of things that are out of our control and I most certainly am not looking at life through rose coloured spectacles, but to take control of, and take the best of what we can control is so important.

Another fab day for me today, managed to get loads done and now although I'm shattered I feel great. Walked to asda and got some shopping (an hour round trip) then did 30 minutes on the crosstrainer, some crunches and followed that with a bath. After lunch I cleaned the kitchen, the windows and the whole of downstairs and got a load of washing done and dried.

Now I'll have loads of time to play with little one when I pick him up from school :) (although I'd love to get a nap in there somewhere lol)
