What have we eaten today

I thought the same! I'd been looking for venison, not had it in ages. It's the tesco finest ones, and the gravy was oxo. Was damn good!

L: Corned beef sandwich using 2 slices wholemeal bread
D: Chicken fajita

Snacks: Apple, 2 HL breadsticks, plum, fruit snack pack type thing, skinny cow hot choc.

only 1235, i may have another hot choc to bring it up abit, so if i do it will be 1349

Anyway... yesterday, I did not eat enough. It totalled 875 cals, I missed lunch cos I wasn't feeling well, and I had a stinking headache at night and had to go to bed early...! Its TOTM too, so not sure if that had something to go by it..!

Today, I'm doing a different method. 3 proper meals rather than snacks. Well it'll either work or it won't..!

I was up early to take Pops to the airport, so I had poached eggs on toast there, now I've just had a bowl of shreddies... so thats 230+218
Lunch - Tescos spicy beef pasta [it's back to £1 people!!] - 480
Tea - Risotto c/o Uncle Ben. 235, but that is theoretically saving half the pack for tomorrows lunch... I might accidentally eat the whole lot at tea tonight... so that totals 1163 or 1398 depending how much I have at tea time. I'm allowing myself a couple hundred extra today to compensate for being stupid yesterday.

Tesco *new* HL minced beef & potato thingy, quite nice if you like really basic stick-to-yer-ribs dinners, a bit like a hotpot but light on the potato. Only 200 cals! And only cost £1!

Agreed - GREAT bargain to keep in the freezer for a last minute stodge emergency.!

Lunch: Tesco ham salad sandwich (260 cals)
Snack: McCoy's Salt and Vinegar (again, about 250 cals)
Dinner tonight... I don't know (I don't cook it), but should be in the region of 500 calories.

Ooh I had one of those Tesco ham salad sarnies for my lunch too. They're ace, you get so much ham! Had it with a salad, yoghurt & apple, 400 altogether. Porridge & toast for brekkie, 285. WW chicken hot pot with cabbage & broccoli and a slice of bread n spread for tea, 395. I've been having a lot of convenience food this week, but in the time I would normally spend cooking I am hopping on the cross trainer after cycling home, so it IS healthy.

It IS.

1080 for main meals. It always seems to be 1080?! May try Splendips for the first time tonight for my supper.

I was quite busy yesterday, it was my long day in college. Still stuck to 1500 cals, but it wasn't made up of good choices! lol. Think I'm due on, been feeling crampy all week, but can never really tell when totm will turn up tbh.

So I'm feeling a bit blah, not enough healthy choices I think. Will change that today!

B: Black coffee, 100g grapes, 50g kiwi, small-medium banana - 169 calories
S: 2 x Snack-a-Jack salt and vinegar rice cakes - 96 cals
L: 50g pasta twists, in a tomato, garlic and herb sauce - 266 cals
S: Alpen Light Summer Fruits bar, Options skinny latte - 122 cals
D: Butter basted turkey, baby new potatoes in herbs, asparagus - 386 cals
S: 4 x cream crackers with 20g philly - 158 cals

Total should be 1197 cals. Going to go a bit lower than 1500 today, feel like I need to be a bit stricter again as I've been tempted by crappy things recently.

Lunch Chicken Soup, yogurt, the last of the marshmallows and an options... total 212

That's 616 so far, 884 left for tea and snacks tonight. I'll be finishing coursework tonight, so probably hitting the snacks :(
 
I'll be joining you on doing coursework tonight Jen, but I tend to find if I'm concentrating on something like that then I won't have the urge to snack. Killing two birds with one stone!
 
Hmm, someone had left some Eurochoc in the kitchen at work and I had a piece... it was a little triangle with layered milk, white and dark chocolate. How many calories in that do you reckon? :confused:
 
Ooh, I couldn't even hazard a guess, Lady M. Sounds yum though!

Just had my dinner, was lovely, but I followed it by gulping a bottle of water, and now my stomach hurts, lol.

Quite happy with myself today, have completely stuck to what I set out meal-wise. My little boy is watching In The Night Garden just now, and will be off to bed shortly. After that I'm going to get started on a report I need to do. Will stop me nibbling!

How big are we talking here?
One of those Lindor truffles, they are quite extravagant, and 75 cals a pop... if your choc can be compared to that?

Aww, bless! I think In The Night Garden is great, btw, and I don't even have kids!

Hmm, the chocattack - in volume it was probably equivalent to about one and a half squares from a big block of Dairy Milk. Let's say two squares to be on the safe side.

I have successfully resisted all the chocolate, biscuits and cake that people are CONSTANTLY putting in there for, ooh, four years now! Dunno what came over me today, I may still be a bit giddy from coming off Atkins. :D

Oh the fishcakes were great btw, Birds Eye Fish Cakes in Crunchy Crumb. They are only little, so two were 225 cals. I'm going to get some more in, I reckon one on its own in a bun would make a nice little fishburger... dollop of mayo, iceberg... hmmm...
