I started when my children and partner commented on the fact that I was never on any family photos or videos. I was always the one offering to take the pics, as I knew I didn't look good. When I was 14, both my parents were killed in a car crash. I was in the car too and suffered a bad head injury. This meant I lost all my memory and, to this day, I don't remember anything of my life with my mum and dad. Everything seemed unreal and I felt I belonged nowhere. The whole 14 years of memories were wiped out. This means that the photos I have of them are extremely precious to me.
It suddenly struck me that, unless I lose enough weight to feel comfortable in photographs, my own children will have hardly any pictures of me for them to keep in the future. Knowing how important the photos with my mum and dad on are, especially those where myself and my two brothers are with them, I decided it was time to take action and get rid of this weight that is holding me back!
So many different triggers and all so very important to each and every one of us. Good luck.
