I started the week with a DD and really wanted saturday to be and UP should i have2UD Friday and Saturday then just go back to normal on Sunday and have a DD that would make 4 up and three down where as last week was alternate days ,would this hamper my weight loss do you think
 
The beauty of this diet is that you can swap and change apart from very recently I have always had double UPs on a sat and sun and I have lost 21 lbs on juddd , jiggle it anyway you like as long as your next official weigh in is after a DD it doesn't have to be the same day every week. Most of us do double UPs it helps fight off diet fatigue.
People on this forum are losing on 3 DD s a week hun so do what you need to do x
 
thank you just scared off gaining what Lost this week so ill do this up days wed,Friday saturday monday down thursday tuesday sunday .I will make friday not too much off an up day more off a mid day lol
 
I'm planning DD Monday, Wednesday and Friday with UD the rest or ID Sat & Sun x hopefully this will enable me to stick with this plan x
 
Jo, did you really say 'jiggle it'?

Personally I'm trying hard to stop doing that :D
 
Well its going wrong so wrong this week. Wed was an up day Thursday mid Friday was supposed to be DD but now UD Saturday will also be an UD so that leaves Sunday Monday Tuesday not sure can have three in a row
 
Take a breath. Think about what will suit your family life and decide when your next DD is.

I have had a weird week again, I will be having 4 consecutive UDs, but have decided to forget it, spend the weekend with OH and DD on Monday as usual.

It's a lifestyle, long term, and so has to be doable and flexible or the guilts will trip you up into that psychological downward spiral of self blame.

I have convinced myself I don't care if it takes an extra month to reach goal. It took decades to get here, it will take months and months and months to get to goal.

At least my brain has accepted that JUDDD will probably be forever :D






Sorry, that all sounds a bit po-faced. But I meant well, honest!
 
Don't attempt 3 DD sin a row you will achieve nothing, attempt 1 if it goes well attempt the next , if you cave then that day can turn into an ID , doing 3 in a row will just send the body into starvation mode and you will lose water and muscle which will do nothing for the way you look, but don't be hard on yourself , have just commented on your other thread x
@willdoit, I did 4 planned UPs at the end of Aug, gained 5lbs , lost it after 2 DD s, no drama, enjoy your UP days hun, you too have truly embraced Juddd, its truly life changing when you do isn't it, oh lord I sound like Yoda again lol xx

Jo, I think we think we know something :D

Best thing, Welshmamma, is that it doesn't take long to find our current mindset. I do remember worrying, but it does wear off, honest. After while you start looking at inch losses rather than pounds. You start to feel good rather than anxious.

Enjoy your weekend. See you on Monday for a concerted DD effort :D
 
Thank you so much. I am on my phone so could not see posts i Will just keep going and try not to stress about it , only done a week so i guess will take time to adjust and feel really comfortable x
 
I've had DD today x and just spent an hour having a mad dance with the kids and achieved a good sweat lol so feel well deserved UD coming on tomorrow :0)) x

The book seems to be in short supply at Amazon these days. We must have bought them out :)

But most of us start with the website and the calculator hereUpDayDownDay Diet™ Plan – How to Succeed

Have a read and believe it really is that simple. Eat what you want but stick to the calories. decide for yourself how many small calorie days your lifestyle can accommodate.

If you read round here you will find some doing 1 Down Day of about 500kcals, some do strictly alternating, most do 2 or 3 DDs a week and keep the weekend as normal eating days.... all sorts of variations. You may find your first couple of weeks 'jiggling' the days to find what pattern suits you best :)

I have input my figures and it looks good. 1700 ish for an up and 375 for a down.
Just need to work out when to start!
