Where can I buy a pumpkin?

Possibly a stupid question but any ideas where I can buy a pumpkin? I looked in Sainsburys last week, they didn't have them. Around halloween they're obvoiusly everywhere but what about those of us that want to eat it the rest of the year?! Any suggestions or is it out of season for them?

I just wanted pumpkin cos I like it lol I like squash too though, maybe I'll just have that instead.

Ooh I've only ever had pumpkin pie once and it was sooo good! I'm the same as you, always say I'll make one and can never be bothered lol Almost did this halloween but I put the pumpkin back at the last minute because I just couldn't be bothered to get the pumpkin out of it! In the US they do canned pumpkin that's been blitzed up so can imagine stuff like that is a lot easier. I've looked here but we don't have it it seems.

The pumpkins we use for haloween are usually inedible. I got a pumpkin in Tesco, next to the squash, it was green on the outside and alot smaller than you would expect. Tasted just like pumpkin though! :)

I have an organic veg box delivered every 2 weeks from the local farm. It costs £12 and has enough veg in for 2 people for 2 weeks and all tastes lovely. I always get 2 or 3 pumpkins in it. They are always really fresh and sweet. If you look on the net you can find deliveries in your area and ask them if they do pumpkin..
