Hiya Cherry

Just popping by to see how you are Boo xxx

I'm late tonight - thankfully not work related though, we slipped in a cheeky mid-week barbeque as the weather was so glorious! I love sitting outside, no distractions, just the chance to chill and catch up. Mr Pie is terrible for having the tv on and just flicking around the channels - if he has a bad habit then this is it!!

WI today and 1 1/2 lbs off - I am on the move again!!

Food: Red day

B - porridge (B)

L - egg and bacon salad, 2 apples, nectarine, 2 plums

D - piri piri pork (3 for marinade), lamb steak, salad, pot salad (HEB of pots, 2 syns of el mayo, quark, onion and HEA of cheddar)

No treat tonight as we have none here - boo!! Need a trip to iceland for icecreams!

Hiya Cherry

Hope your having a fab day off hun, catch up with you later Boo xx

Well done on the loss Cherry :D

Why oh why do I think that I have to cram so much into one single day off work?!! If I don't fill it I feel like I wasted it! I didn't post yesterday as my bum didn't hit the sofa until about 11.00pm!!

Took the dogs up the woods, Buddy to the vet for his MOT and booster, called into friend's for a cuppa and catch up, food shopping and home bargains, home for late lunch, spot of gardening, quick shower, visit mum for the evening (via macro for 6 months worth of washing powder and spices) - phew!! No rest today either as brother and MIL to see!! I plan to do considerably less tomorrow....

Main meals were OK, but too many treats = too many syns (twas nice though!!)

Friday's food: (EE)

B - apple

L - jacket pot with tinned sardines and salad

S - packet of poppets (8 or 9), packet of crisps (8)

D - way too late, we didn't eat until about 10pm, hence the snackys earlier: chicken breasts cooked in a roasting bag with garlic, onions and peppers (like homemade maggi but without the overpowering chemically taste that the maggi seems to have), left over salad and pot salad from night before (counted syns for this the night before!)
curly wurly (6)

No B choice
A - milk in tea (plus 3 syns as many cups of tea!)

Scary syns total....... 26!! Ooops!

Well done on your 1.5lb off cherry!! :-D

Well, what a dreary day weather wise it is here - I'm tempted to climb back under my duvet and hide from the ironing mountain that has formed in the bedroom!! I've tidied up, sorted the paperwork and generally done all the little jobs but the I cannot put off ironing any longer or I'll have to go to work in my pjs tomorrow!!

We've just had a lovely sunday lunch here (EE day) of pork, actifry roasties, cabbage, carrots, broad beans and gravy (3 syns) followed by 2 meringue nests (5) with yogurt and berries - deeeeelish!!!

I hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday xxx

Edited to add rest of day's food:

Soup made from veg, pearl barley, lentils, split peas and bacon

wm roll (B) with chicken

cornetto (9)

Ooooo... I would like to know this also!

I keep hearing people talk about them but I dont eat loads of chips, so I was wondering what else can be used in them?

Woohoo CherryPie..

Just managed to catch up on the last 2 weeks I have missed on your diary :happy036:
SO -first things first -
:happy096: on your -2lb, sts, -1.5lbs  - you certainly are on a roll my lovely.
I can't believe your foot is still giving you trouble, although my achillies is still playing silly b*ggers too... it IS going to the gym on Tuesday regardless -I have had nearly 4 weeks of no gym and its driving me bonkers. We managed to get a bit of walking in whilst back in the UK, but nowhere near enough exercise as I like.

Its just a quick one as I have lots of you to catch up with -but I will be back :sign0151: -hope you are having a lovely day..
take care...

Ilovecake & sugarplum - the actifry is a clever gismo that air cooks food but also turns it brown and crispy, rather like a deep fat fryer but minus the fat! if like me you like roast potatoes and parsnips then the actifry is worth the investment for these alone!! Simply chop (peeling optional, I'm generally lazy about it!), squirt with a little frylight or spray olive oil and 25-30 mins later you have syn free food!!!

You can also use it for syn free chips, roasted veggies, chicken thighs, sausages, meatballs etc (but take the paddle out for meaty items or they fall apart), it makes lovely oil free scampi (not syn free but still a much healthier way of cooking it) and apparently you can do a great chilli or spag bol sauce in it too!

We regularly do a breakfast hash in ours - cubes of potato, sliced onion and mushrooms, chopped up bacon and syn free sausage - all served with a poached egg - gorgeous!!
I've also used it to make SW scotch eggs which are very yummy indeed, if not a little potchy!

They're not cheap but I don't think I'd be without it now, its rarely put away these days!

Capricorn, I think your sts is far more impressive given the circumstances! Onwards and downward we go! xxx

Good day here - I finally had written confirmation of my new job - yay!!! Same company but from October I will be our Learning and Development Manager with responsibility for the training needs of 700 people! Its a brand new role created just for me so very exciting! Thats why I'm so busy at the mo, trying to do my exisiting job and working on getting the new one started, but I didn't want to jinx it by saying anything before I had the official offer!
