Wikipedia

If you, like me, are a Wikipedia fan, you might like to know that it will not be available from early tomorrow (Wednesday) morning for 24 hours.

If you go to Wikipedia today, it will explain why.

I am thinking of all the things I might need to look up in the next day or so, and doing them now!!

I love wikipedia! I know it's not all true and my daughter always tells me off for using Wiki as it can't be relied upon,but google always sends you straight to Wiki for answers.

I use it as a starting point. No, it is not 100% reliable - but then what is? Even the Encyclopedia Britannica has mistakes in it!

The great thing about Wikipedia is that you can find out a little bit about such a huge range of things. Then you can go on to find out more if you want to. It has links to so many other sources of information.

If you hit esc as it loads, it will load up normally

I got the front page to load, but couldn't look anything up.

Ah yes, I do it via Google you see, looking at individual pages. To open something from an already open wiki page, you jave to hit esc again, unless its been disabled since this morning.
