Latest is he now being moved again from HDU to a general ward for spinal injuries......so he will be transferred any day now when a bed becomes available in Sheffield.

Good news .......then he gonna be further north again...so extra travel time

Good News Indeed Sonkie.

Shame it's such a long journey for you to visit him but you seem to take it all in your stride. I know I would be moaning and wingeing so much more than you.

WOW - hadn't even looked at that Sonkie - it is incredible. Well done you, especially when you have so much going on at the moment. Always my excuse to stuff my face - so power to you girl!

Hi Sonkie

Just caught up with your thread, so thrilled to hear about your brothers progress, that's wonderful news.

And your weight loss - WOW total respect lady, what an inspiration you are, to do so well when you have the greatest excuse in the world for stuffing your face, or just not being able to stick to your diet. Well done Sonkie - you truly are a star.
xxxx

Thanks guys, just heard bro wont be transferred until next monday. omg my son is doing his nut......the sooner he gets seen the better.....anyone want a 9 yr old he very good (not), sits and plays quietly (always hyper).
All this stress and still being good......phew!

Hi Sonkie

Bother! But best he doesn't go to the general ward if he's not ready he will get better care won't he? Is your son unhappy because he wants to go see him and wasn't allowed in the intensive ward? I guess it's understandable if that is the case.

You are a star still being good. You deserve the body of a godess!

Yeh I told him he will have his bad days but he will get through this and he will progress as far as he is physically possible....I know with people in the same boat as him he will do his best.... but it will be a long road.

OMG I just rang the hospital to see how bro is this morning and the ambulance has turned up to transfer him to Sheffield......last night he was going next monday....Im confused, but at least he will soon be in the right place to begin his long road to regaining as much mobility as possible.

I will keep you up to date with his progress as it happens !
