Where the hell has summer gone? Its like winter out there this morning! Bloomin' typical as we're camping tomorrow!

Right here's the deal... I'm going to a fabulous activity camp the 2nd week of August & I want to be energetic & have fun with all the activities & my kids & if I carry on the way I am I'm going to feel heavy & sluggish so... I am going to low carb brekkie & lunch & have a healthy meal in the evening (which is when I'm struggling) & gently lower my carbs in the evening... I'm also going to get some more protein bars as I do find them invaluable!!

I am no going to be sitting on the sidelines watching everyone else having fun wishing I could have done more... I have spent my life watching from the sidelines but no more people!! I've changed my life so much already this year & am not giving up now!!

My garden was carnage this morning, branches everywhere, chairs turned over & the kids toys strewn about... looked like a whirlwind had come thru! Its horrible & grey but thankfully the rains stopped!!

If you can give me that kind of whipping I can share my rain with you!!

Don't joke... we camped on the beach last bank holiday August & that happened to 2 peoples tents! Ours normally takes Paul & I 40 mins to put up & it took us plus 6 other campers 4 hours to get out tent up... turns out it was the tail end of a hurricane!! There was so much damage to out tent we couldn't camp again last year til it was all fixed!

The kids love it if its windy coz they have to lie on parts of the tent to keep it down!!

When you get back to the tent after a day at the beach & the campsite comes to life.. the kids all go off playing, kicking a ball about or riding their bikes.. the BBQ's get lit up.. the glasses are filled with drink 'Pimms in my case!'... you sit in yr chair by the campfire listening to the chatter & then only have to fall into a sleeping bag... there is nothing better!!
