Morning Cheryl!!
Swimming lesson was as I expected!

What a lovely day. Im so feeling the effects of stinging eyes from little sleep so cant sit out there yet. Glad everyone is having a good day.

Morning Cheryl ;) good shift?

Linz yes woofy IS davina and IM in the bb house :D

Ooh, can i come in too? Work was ok. Not a single sick person though. Well not a proper one. And we were mega busy too. Didnt get to eat til 1am and even that was on the run. Managed to sit down for 10mins around 5ish then it picked up again.

of course - its the Atkins BB house. no carbs allowed apart from green leafies. :D
Cant believe you were so busy and no real sick people. must really frustrate you. and i bet you are shattered now xxx

Thats the job most of the time. I would say (from when i worked full time) 5 out of 6 days were like that. No point in getting annoyed with people, most of the time its lack of education (as in why the LAS are really there) or people panicking over nothing. As we saw last night a man really going mad that his dad was having a heart attack, panicking and getting in our way, answering questions for his dad and almost giving himself a stroke over it when all that was wrong with his dad, if he'd stopped to listen was a pain in his hernia he had suffered with for about 15yrs!

Omg - you must also have th patience of a saint, I would end up getting ratty x

It's not a job I could do Cheryl, that's for sure.

Hi Bren, nice to see you love.

It ok as long as i eat and dont let my sugar levels drop too low. I can feel when they do coz i do get very ratty. Last night a nurse told me if our patient collapses its our fault, i refused to move him for the 3rd time. I told her that he was now in her care so not my problem (she had mislaid his notes) she started ranting at me so i very nearly snapped back but didnt and took her to see her senior who swiftly told her he was her responsibility to move him as we had handed over so he was her patient now. I smiled smugly laughed at her and walked away. Always seems to work better than a stand up row but beileve me i was ready.

wow good for you restraining myself. and deffo the bigger person :D

Its no longer a case of wanting to I have to. If im seen behaving like that in public and get a complaint management will literally string me up and ive decided to go for promotion whens its posted so not worth it

You must really love what you do Cheryl to put up with all that crap!
Sometimes i do Linz but normally only when we do get sick people. Other than that its a job that pays the bills. It has its up and downs like i guess any other job does. We are seen as heros coz from time to time (its very rare) we might save a life but we deal with what we have to and move on. No heroics at all.

Well try telling that to the last bloke i saved. He was told it was me that saved his life (i had to shock him 4 times) and he said "oh" and walked past me. Now thats grattitude for you.
